    • Charming & comfortable

An historical facade & very modern interior with a central position for accessing the centre of the town. We were greeted by friendly staff & soon directed to our room. It was very spacious & very well maintained. The bathroom was enormous & contained white fluffy towels & every toiletry you could possibly need. I couldnt fault our stay, it was delightful. We wish we had booked 2 nights so we could look around Burgos in more detail but it was just a stopover. The only downside was the garage as it was beneath the hotel & entered via a very steep and narrow driveway. Great care was needed to access the parking spaces.

We stayed in late July and Andrea was extremely helpful at the front desk. She went above and beyond to assist us during our stay. Hotels need more people like her. The hotel was also fantastic with a perfect location. Rooms were large, quiet and nicely appointed. The breakfast was delicious and the bar was well done. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Two nights rest, which was our first break on the Camino, was fantastic. The hotel is perfectly situated near the old town. We had a lovely view of the river and promenade. It felt like Paris! Spacious and very clean room. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great.

    • Again, no air Conditioning

This being the second time at this hotel, we again confirm they do not make use of any air conditioning as advertised on their website. This is mid June, it is very hot outside, so rooms get impossibly hot and there is no air coming from vents at all, only heating. However everybody at the hotel are very nice and helpful, they provided some coolers none of which cooled off as any real cold air conditioning would. they suggest to open windows, but in doing so, mosquitoes fill the room, street noise and it is still too hot. So do not trust that this hotel has any working cool air conditioning, they should remove that from their website, it is not a Marriott so they tell, it is an "extension" from Marriott, however, nothing is like any US Marriott at all. They do not like air conditioning so management does not offer this to clients. THIS IS JUNE!!! SUMMER!! So in general for the second time, we categorize this as a mediocre hotel with no comforts to offer. Nice as they can be and are, and helpful, the fact is they do not offer cool air at all. Better lodge elsewhere if you can find a place that cares for customer's peaceful sleep. They are very imposing, if they don't like the system, they do not offer it.

    • Inadequate temperature control

Hotel has air conditioning but its an either/or. The heat is either on - or the a/c. We were there in early June. They hadnt yet turned on the a/c. The outside temperature was in the upper 20s, the sun shone directly in to our room. It was like a blast furnace. The hotel tried putting in an a/c tower but that only moved around the hot air. We ending switching to a smaller room that, at least, wasnt getting sun. The room temperature was tolerable - but it was still warmer than we like. Hotel is very well located close to the river, Old Town, and the Cathedral. Parking in their garage is 18/day. Very, very narrow and tight. I had a very small car so it wasnt too bad. I surely wouldnt want to park there with a larger vehicle. Room, bed, bathroom were all fine but the high room temperature was a major problem
