    • A beautifully decorated hotel with magnificent views!

We loved our stay at Aira Hotel. The view from our balcony was incredible on clear days and the room was beautifully decorated with a huge comfy bed. All of the staff were so sweet and helpful and couldnt do enough to help out. Hannah on reception was particularly lovely, she spoke brilliant English and was always smiling! She gave us some great recommendations of what to do whilst in Sapa. One thing to note- Sapa itself isnt the serene, peaceful place I had in mind from pictures I had seen online. The main town is like a building site with huge hotels going up everywhere and children selling things on the street until very late at night. We also found the very loud Karaoke bars in town over-bearing and way too loud, especially on a Saturday night when all the Vietnamese tourists come for a long weekend. Aira hotel is out a little from the main town and so is lovely and peaceful- we were very glad we stayed here instead of somewhere right in the middle of town. Also another point for Sapa itself, I would suggest to avoid Cat Cat village. It has turned into a circus for Vietnamese tourists to come and hire fancy dress (resembling something near to that of traditional dress) and take selfies. There were hordes of tours with a guide wearing a microphone and really ruining the peace. The day after this we went on a trek organised by our hotel which went to 3 other villages in the valley. This was my favourite bit of the trip, with many fewer tourists opting for this. All in all, we had a lovely stay in Sapa and can attribute a lot of this to our stay at Aira!

    • Has potential but needs a little care and attention

The property itself has potential but grown quite dated and needs an overhaul so you get glimpses of what this hotel once was, and what it could be. It is set a little way out of town which is kind of nice... it is quiet and a short walk from town with amazing & undisturbed views of the mountains. Our room was upgraded at check-in which we appreciated but we had to move rooms when the aircon leaked water into the room. We stayed two nights and most meals onsite but received literally the worst food from our while time in Vietnam.

My husband and I were thrilled with our stay at Aira Boutique Hotel and Spa. The location is just removed from Sapa town so no street noise and within walking distance to many Hmong villages. The staff falls all over themselves to assist and cannot do enough for their guests. The food is fantastic and the spa treatments superb. There are not enough superlatives to say about our stay.

We stayed 3 nights at this wonderful hotel. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The restaurant delivered the greatest breakfast and dinner in SaPa. The views over the valley is great. The hotel do have a tip system so we did one final tipping for the total stay instead of tipping each employer
