      Came for a girls weekend getaway and would definitely return! Room clean, bed very comfortable, 2 bathrooms, small kitchen. The beach is beautiful. Beach Chairs, towels and Umbrella included. Fabian served us very well. Shuttle service 1 mile north and south of property. Raymond, shuttle driver very kind and courteous. Restaurants in walking distance. With Uber available, really do not need a rental car.

      The suites are large (we had a one bedroom suite), extremely clean and all have views of the Gulf of Mexico. The king sized bed was extremely comfortable. Everything was extremely clean and well cared for, from the parking lot to the reception area to the rooms and the pool deck and pool. The people were uniformly friendly and professional, especially the bartender at the tiki bar. She created an attitude of friendliness that was contagious. The beach in front of the resort had no debris and had obviously been manicured. The only negative is the "resort fee", which I probably should have expected. It made the visit a little more expensive than I thought. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

      Staying at Beach House Suites by Don Cesar. Beach service by Jukobi has been excellent also a shout out to Fabian. Our shuttle drivers Patrick and Chicken Ray have been wonderful conversationalist with a lot of local information. Check in a bit slow but overall good service so far.

      Having stayed at the Don CeSar for a week a few years ago our expectations were high. Ooops first mistake. The beach Suits are only about a mile apart but a million miles apart when you compare them to the quality, luxury and attention to detail of the Hotel. Please do not think you are going to get the same experience just because its underpinned by the name of the Hotel. The good points are the location, the room size, staff at the pool and on the transfer bus. On the not so good side, they still let dogs on all floors and all rooms, in fact, I saw someone check in and demand a top floor with their dog in reception. I was disappointed with some of the attention to detail that with a little extra effort could improve the experience, which the hotel has lost, for example, after the normal Florida down poor the corridors were left full of water with large puddles that you could not walk round (2mins to sweep them up). As you walk onto the beach before the bridge the foot washer leaves a large puddle, which everyone tries to walk round (put a small board on it). The bar and pool area (I understand that this is going to be renovated, but this is now) is scruffy and I would say Motel standard not Hotel standard with only food coming from the Hotel a mile away and the occasional BBQ burger bar side. My last disappointment from the hotel was on exit, having given precise details on what charge card to use, they still managed to charge the wrong one causing me incur extra charges, I have written 2 times but still no response. In summary, if you have family or a dog it does have nice large rooms and is a great location, but do not expect too much. It is a refurbished on the inside but tired on the outside. If the Don CeSar is a 5 star hotel this would be a 3 star. To the management team, please do not respond with a patronising thank you or "your comments will be taken on board" if you cannot contact me directly , please dont bother.

      This was our yearly family vacation, our children, their spouses and our grandchildren, all reserved separate rooms. Desk clerk had our check out dates one day early. Every day we had to clarify and correct his mistake because our room keys would stop working. (He was extremely rude to us on several occasions..more on this later) Air didnt work in my daughters room..she and my son in law had to move to a new room at 9:30 pm. Had to wake up two small children, pack up everything, with no offer of help from management. New room was dirty, tv didnt work, towel bars broken and key card mechanism had to be replaced, not once, but twice. Oh, TV kept going on the fritz. Our room was filthy. Beautiful ceramic wood look tile was so grimy and dirty you couldnt walk barefoot, even in bathroom. Kitchen dishes were dirty, shelves dusty. Had to request maid service. Oh, only had maid service for two of the five days we stayed. Each day, had to call for items included in resort fee ($36 a day) water, newspapers, towels, coffee, dishing pdr so we could do dishes, etc. The original desk clerk was really nasty when i asked for toiletries. I ended up emptying our trash and setting out by door, washing and drying linens. Same rude desk clerk shared our newspaper with another guest..then had guest give it to us. Our family has been coming to the Don Cesar Hotel or Beach Suites for 35 years. Never have we encountered anything like this. Each family paid $228 plus tax a night, for five days for the privilege of staying at Beach House Suites. My message to the hotel management is hire more staff, train them, supervise them, do a better job from top down. Gave one star rating-gulf beach and weather beautiful no thanks to the Don Cesar.
