    • Bad Attitude and Bad Service

My wife and I waited for over an hour to place our order. When our turn came, the counter waitress took a group of 5 late arrivals ahead of us. I protested and the counter waitress told me,"this is my family, they come first.

    • Very Good PoBoy--off the beaten path, long wait, hot restaurant

I attempted to summarize our experience within the title. We arrived with the line going out the door, but MAKE SURE YOU TAKE A NUMBER, then feel free to go have a seat at a table, or go to the bar and wait your turn. Ladies behind the counter making sandwiches could not be any nicer or motherly if they tried, they are over excited to get a chance to feed you. Seafood PoBoy was very good, but the room can get very hot while waiting with only a few ceiling fans going, but worth the stop if you can handle a little discomfort.

    • Gotta Eat Here

Been wanting to eat here for a long time. Wife and I drove there today. Place is very unique, small and good. Its a house in a residential part of town. PO boys were two sizes. Around $11.50 for the small one which was plenty for this big boy. Gotta have a Barqs root beer in bottle with a PO Boy in New Orleans. Its a local thing. Try it. Its better than Diners and Dives make it out. This is one of those visits youll snap some pictures and tell all your friends about it.

    • Nice Dive for a Po Boy

Enjoyed a NOLA staple, one shrimp and one oyster PoBoy. The restaurant is definitely off the beaten track, is very small, but had some good eats. Beers were cold and cheese, unless like French quarter, and this spot served as a short reprieve from walking in the heat!

    • Good, but over-hyped

This place specializes in Po-boys, a catchy name for sandwiches on large crusty French loaves, typically with meat and or seafood fillings. I got fried shrimp and my husband got half fried shrimp and half fried oysters. As it turns out, Po-boys arent my favourite thing, but theyre definitely good for what they are good bread, freshly made sandwiches, nicely fried seafood. My husband got the half shrimp/half oysters and preferred the oysters. Embedded in the neighbourhood on a residential street, this local hotspot has been around in almost continuous operation since it was opened in 1918. It fills up around lunch time, so get there early or be prepared to wait. When you arrive, take a number, grab a seat if you can, and check out the menu posted on the wall. Theyll call your number when they are ready to take your order and ask if you want your topped with ketchup, mayo, tomatoes and pickles.
