I loved this place as it is comfortable and reduced at the same time. Perfect location, best breakfast in Columbia (if you have a craving for fresh baked sourdough bread - thats your place to be) and always helpful and smiling staff make that B&B a very unique place. Plus its quiet and only a few steps away from the beachfront. Thank you, Chantal and your team!

We spent one night here as a last minute booking as we arrived on the wrong day for our pre booked hotel. We are so glad we did as Casa Chapolin is lovely, very low key, the bedrooms are clean and spacious and lovely big hammocks to hang out in. Its nice to be away from the touristy noisy area but only a few minutes walk from the beach and restaurants.

    • Excellent stay, close to the beach and super friendly service

Following 2 weeks in colombia which included a 5 day trek in the Jungle, we wanted to end our trip in a peaceful establishment close to the beach which offered good food. Casa Chapolin ticked all those boxes and ensued our final few days in Colombia was just that. The Master beds in the private room and the bathrooms were both very big and clean. Breakfast was included in the price and eggs and crepes were made for your as you sit down for breakfast. We spent new years eve at Casa Chapolin and they organised a BBQ followed by a beach party. Thank you very much to Chantal, Mathias and the team at CC.

The stay at the Casa Chapolin has been definitely one of the highligts of our three weeks trip across Colombia. On the one side the whole property invites you to enjoy the calmness, lying in one of the hammocks, listening to the birds, following a squirrel while jumping from palm tree to palm tree, just lying on the grass to watch the clouds, take a surf board and enjoy the waves, ... but what is much more important and made the stay for us that unique are Chantal, Matthias, Loui and the team. From the first moment on we felt like at home - being welcomed with a beer to cool down from our walk up the hostel & afterwards we had one of the best pancakes we ever had - Overall the food is incredibly delicious (fresh baked bread, cookies and pancakes for breakfast, muesli and much more). We enjoyed to hear about their decision to give up their life in Switzerland and start into an adventure in Colombia 3 years ago - and this with a 5 months old boy. It has been a real pity that we had already booked our flight to Medellin - otherwise we would definitely had stayed more than a week - this is a place where you can easily spend a month or longer. Thank you Chantal, Matthias, Loui !! & the Chapolin team to make our stay in Palomino that unique. I am sure we will meet each other one day again & I am already looking forward to it. All the best & hugs from Medellin, Robert & Franzi

    • Peaceful and modern but quite expensive

Casa Chapolin is a nice and modern hostel that still has some works going on in the garden. We had a cabin in the garden that was very small. Only the bed, backpacks, ventilator and some smaller personal stuff fitted in. Also the lighting was inadequate. It was nice that it had like a terras, half the size of the cabin, in front of it with a hammock. Unfortunatelly there were alot of red ants in our bed every day. The cabin has open parts where insects can come throught. The bed did have a muskieto net. Refill of water was 1000 COP/0,600 L and we paid 160.000 COP/night with breakfast in a private room with a double bed. It was a pitty that we did not have a shower/toilet in our room. We used a shared shower/toilet 15m outside of the cabin. Shower water was cold (no hot water available). Rooms are not cleaned every day and used towels are not replaced by clean ones. Breakfast was very nice, but everyday the same. Startinghour of 07:30 was not that strict. One dissapointment was that the sugarbowl (for the coffee) was full of red ants all 3 days. Service was very friendly and we had a good time, but expensive for this hostel.
