    • It was perfect!

      Reviewed 25 August 2019

Our family stayed here last August 21-23, 2019. It was our first time to stay in Discovery Country Suites and it was amazing. We stayed in two different suites. Both are super clean, very soft bed and pillows, room layout was good. Staffs are very organized, greets you with a smile, very helpful and it was a breeze checking in and out. The breakfast that came with the package was sumptuous which made us decide to have our dinner for two consecutive nights in the restaurant. Food was superb! As I mentioned, this was our first time here but definitely not the last time. Kudos to the team for a job well done!

IT IS PERFECT. DCS made our stay extra special. Truly the warmest welcome we ever had. There are no words to describe the quality of your service and I don't have to enumerate all because everything seemed perfect. It is the best place to stay and we can still remember all of the crew's geniune smile. I will see you again not too soon but hopefully, real soon.

They took care of my family during our stay in their hotel (it was landfall of typhoon Hannah). They even went out of their way to transfer us to another hotel for our safety as their main power line went sparking during the strong winds and they covered all the charges and made sure we are taken cared of till the day we left for manila.

We were all delighted to stay for three days here. We were really so delighted its like we found a home outside our home . They give you a welcome cheese platter, wine , cookies with milk at night for the kids and a slice of cake too . Thats everyday of your duration in the hotel. They only have 7 suites that helps it so homey because theres only few who uses the amenities. Staff are so attentive and are so pleasing, always making you feel that they are enthusiastic to assist. Starbucks is just in the next door . The place is accessible to tricycles or jeepneys when you want to try local rides. They can even arrange your taal adventure tour if you want. But of course itll be cheaper if its DIY. Definitely Ill go back to stay here again and again

    • One of the best, if not the best in Tagaytay

      Reviewed 03 July 2019

I'm no hotel expert but this is my honest review: My fiance and I work in the production world, specifically; in the world of photography and videography. May it be weddings, food photography, events, you name it, we've captured it. With that being said, we know Tagaytay well enough by now to know where to stay. We've been in several hotels around the area, namely; Taal Vista Hotel, The Lake Hotel, Days Hotel, etc. and we have had weddings in most of them too, but not at Discovery Country Suites. Once or twice a year, we make it a point to stay in Tagaytay for a staycation. This time we tried, DCS. We stayed at the Nantucket which was one of the two premier suites that DCS has to offer. We were greeted with a warm and sort of a too-good-to-be-true smile from their front desk receptionist, Bella. But indeed, they truly offer a warm homey feeling to each and every guest. Upon checking in, we had a taste of their chunky, sweet and refreshing welcome drink. I knew the hotel isn't really that big pers, but from what I have read, their accommodations are top-notch and were tantamount to their restaurant, the Verbena. We got everything we need after the check-in process, now we're ready to check our room out. The room was already at a comfortable temperature. The beddings were spotless and the room smelt like flowers. I indicated on my reservation that we are celebrating our 8th anniversary that day so the staff added their personal touch of laying out flower petals amongst the two beds. The view from our room is what I expected it to be. The staple Taal Lake, trees and the outdoor jacuzzi. We didn't have to wait long before our cheese board got served in-room. The spread was just enough for two and their champagne was amazing. Dinner came. We had to pre-order our food at least an hour before dining so that the chef can prepare the meals at their pace. Their pacing was on point for a 5-course meal. Their food was at the right temperature and every detail was spot-on. Needless to say, they advertised the Verbena with care and accuracy. This is the part where DCS could improve on. The Jacuzzi. We took a dip in the Jacuzzi to wrap up our night, whilst the rain and the cool breeze. The jacuzzi was expectedly warm, just at the right temperature. But it was SLIPPERY. It needed draining and cleaning. I hope you have had the time to do so. We had an awesome sleep, the beds were comfortable, the night cookies and milk were an additional touch to cap off the night. The breakfast was superb, as I hoped for from Verbena. This definitely is one of the best, if not the best hotels in Tagaytay.
