    • Just Average - Breakfast Not Worth the Stay

We have been visiting Fredericksburg for over 30 years and stayed at many different locations. This was our first time for Inn at Barons Creek and it will be our last. It was barely average. Sheets on the bed were not changed at night, the bed was just made, that was a disappointment. Room was cleaned, that was a plus. Main disappointment was the breakfast, we ended up eating out at different places each day, looking at the location of the Inn we were looking forward to different Opa's Meats each day since it was right next door, fresh fruit, cheeses, and eggs since the largest HEB store in that part of Texas is 2 blocks away. Yet every morning we were there we checked and they were serving some kind of Soy Sausage, Powdered eggs out of box, no fresh fruit or cheeses, frozen breads that you had to heat up, etc. etc....... Believe it or not we ended up at Whataburger or McDonalds to get a better breakfast !!!!!! The personnel were very nice but the overall experience will lead us to look for a different lodging location on our next visit to Fredericksburg.

This was the 7th Time the Associatipon for Managers of Innovation (South-by-Southwest), AMIss, Regathered at the Inn on Barons Creek inn Fredericksburg, Texas. AMIss was launched here in January 2016. A few walking-distance blocks from Hauptstrasse and downtown Fredericksburg, it is a wonderfully quiet venue. Very comfortable rooms, great breakfast and dining area, and perfect meeting rooms with super staff support have made it our go-to home over and over. We are already booked for our next two semi-annual REgatherings. We have combined the Inn with a customized Culinary Adventure at Das Peach Haus as our traditional start of each REgathering.

Last minute getaway was a win staying at IOBC. The hotel was easy to find, lovely lobby with quick check in. The hotel was very quiet which is always a plus! The breakfast buffet was very nice both mornings. Would definitely stay here again soon!

Inn on Barons Creek is a nice place to stay. All rooms are suites which is very nice to have a sofa, chair, coffee table and tv separate from the bed area (which also has a tv). They can be shut off for privacy with sliding doors. The bath area is nice and the rooms are very clean. My only complaint was the bedding, they use old fashioned bed spreads which are cumbersome, slick and slide off the bed. They also still use what I would call an old fashioned blanket...my skin does not appreciate. It would be a big improvement if they would be a little more upscale on the bedding....it would improve the comfort tremendously. Hotel staff was very nice. Breakfast is a notch above other hotel chains. Overall very satisfied and would recommend.
