    • Great Location

Pros: The hotel itself was very convenient to everything as it was centrally located near the Duomo. The hotel staff was very friendly and always willing to help out with recommendations and making reservations. Very attentive and the first to offer a glass of water or Prosecco upon your return (very hot in August so always welcomed!). Room was clean, we had the Deluxe room with the balcony, so even sitting outside at night was enjoyable. Cons: Location- yes it was SUPER convenient to everything but that also came at a cost. The location was VERY loud. As in 2 am yelling in the streets and throughout the day the darn BELLS from the nearby Duomo seemed to go off every hour for ages. Something we probably should have assumed being surrounded by so many churches and the main area in the city center... but still surprising. Overall would stay again for everything the hotel is and the great staff. Just feel like you should be totally informed!

We spent a long weekend in Florence and this hotel was the perfect location. It is in the centre of Florence and within walking distance of all main attractions. The staff were extremely helpful and went through a map of all the key sights with us. They also organised an excursion for us-wine tasting in the vineyards of Tuscany, which we really enjoyed. Croissants with coffee/tea are available at breakfast. Prosecco + snacks are available in the evening. All of this is complimentary and a really nice touch! Our room was a good size with water provided. We had a large balcony which was nice to sit out on in the evening with a glass of wine. Overall I would recommend the hotel as a good base to explore Florence.

Rooms are immaculate and just about perfect (although work desk is minimal). The staff are 100% amazing and helpful in every way. Breakfast is basically a coffee and a croissant but is free. A free evening drinks sends you on your way. It is a boutique hotel but in my opinion it is wonderful and perfect. Highly highly recommended.

From the moment we walked in and were greeted by Pamela, we knew we would love our time at the Grand Amore. We were tired and hot from walking from the train station, and she immediately welcomed us to sit down and brought us a glass of Prosecco. She went through the map of the city, made many recommendations for us and offered to book our reservations. The lobby also has a bar where you can have a light breakfast of cappuccino and croissant, and enjoy Prosecco for aperitivo before dinner (included). The room was beautifully appointed and comfortable. And the LOCATION - when you step out, you can see the Duomo only a block away, and the museum with David is only a block away as well. There are delicious restaurants and many shops a stones throw from this hotel. I highly recommend the Grand Amore! Thank you staff and mostly Pamela for making our time in Florence so magical.

I was thrilled to book this hotel as it looked great from the pictures and the other reviews. LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING. Room was TINY bathroom has mold and the entire place had a terrible stench. The pink velour bed frame was black from dirt along the bottom and the drapes were tarnished. Terrible room for the price, we left a day early because we couldn't stand to stay there any longer. The spa is NOT a real spa. its ONE treatment room, a TINY steam room and a TINY sauna and non working hot tub. Not built to be a spa it looked like an afterthought. The staff was fine but did nothing special. I'm so sad and disappointed to be writing this review because I was thrilled to stay at this hotel and thought it was going to be one of the highlights of our trip. I would not recommend this place unfortunately :(
