    • Superb Hotel

All aspects of the hotel were excellent but special mention has to go to the staff for their friendliness and helpfulness, nothing was too much trouble for them. The food in the restaurants at both breakfast and dinner was superb as were the pizzas in the attached pizzeria Sapori. The bedroom and public areas were immaculately clean and the gardens were very well maintained. The view from the hotel is magnificent but unfortunately there are few local amenities within walking distance (unless you are a mountain goat). It is close to the local railway station (5 mins walk there and 10 mins back) from where there are regular trains to Sorrento and, for example, Pompeii but if you wished to sample the nightlife of Sorrento you would really need a car. Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable and we would like to think that we may return some time in the future.

This hotel has a marvelous, extremely helpful staff, willing to do whatever necessary for their guests. The view from the terrace and restaurants is iconic, Mt Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples, harbor below, cliffs adjacent, just spectacular. Excellent dining also.

    • Nice hotel - beware of the Car Park as damage caused by the hotel

The hotel is very nice and reviews below are true and fair. However be aware of the carpark in the hotel. I stayed for 3 days and left my car with the valet. The car park is very busy at weekends and they scrapped the front bumper on Saturday night. The hotel tried to look at CCTV when I reported this issue but couldn't find any proof. The damage caused was 269 euro by the car rental company which is a big disappointment. My car was a small Fiat 500. I have emailed the hotel asking for them to pay for the damage caused and awaiting their reply. I would avoid this hotel if travelling by car going forward.

Hotel Angiolieri provided all ingredients needed for a perfect stay: a welcoming staff, a nice room with a wonderful view on the bay of Naples and the Vesuvius, a perfect breakfast, a top-notch Michelin class restaurant. The hotel also has a bar with a nice dinner menu.We had one of the best holidays of our live in this perfectly located hotel. The guided tours advised by the hotel staff - by boat to Capri and the Amalfi coast, and by car to Pompeii and the Vesuvius as well as the trips we made ourselves to Naples, Caserta, Salerno and Caserta made for a perfect visit of this area.

Excellent hotel, great staff, good food, train station a small 10mins walk away, Pizza restaurant underneath is well worth going to. Only issue although small was the taxi leaving was late. Trains were ok, and got to go to Capri no problems. Would recommend it for a relaxing quiet enjoyable time.
