I enjoyed every moment at RumFish! Andrew at customer service was exceptionally helpful and truly went out of his way to accommodate my every wish. My suite was clean, newly refurbished and had a perfect view of the Gulf. The beach was clean and well keep and the staff out there were very helpful in setting up my cabana. I highly recommend RumFish.

Great experience at the RumFish Resort...arrived at the resort before check-in and not only was the process quick and easy we even got a discount on an upgraded room. Sade at the front desk is awesome and incredibly friendly and accommodating. The room and the resort is very clean and lots of fun. Great proximity to the beach and use of "clamshell" area. The adult pool was very nice and was a great alternative to the family pool area. The sister resort is literally 200 steps from this resort which has cute shops and restaurants. Will definitely be back again!

    • A nice alternative to overseas all inclusive.

This is as close as I found to an all inclusive resort in the US. My husband and two sons (8 and 9) visited there after a trip to Legoland. The day we arrived it was pouring down raining and I had planned a boat cruise before check in time but that was canceled so we arrived at 11 am. They allowed us to check in early and hold our bags until the room was ready. During the check in process, they do try to get you to attend a time share or club presentation but once I declined, they were gracious and didnt bring it up again during our stay ( which in the Caribbean, weve been hounded the entire stay). We got there and it was the touch tank experience time so our kids did that (its in the hotels gift shop). They enjoyed that. While they were doing that, I got a text that our room was ready. So nice! We had a 1 bedroom suite on the 5th floor overlooking the gulf. It was a nice room- I wish they had queen beds instead of double but it wasnt a big deal. There was also a pull out sofa bed that our kids used. The room was clean and the kitchen had what we needed. The pool at this resort was small compared to the number of rooms. We were there at the end of the season so it wasnt that crowded but I dont know how it would be at peak time. My kids enjoyed the pool and it wasnt far from the beach. I think the pool cabanas were too expensive (have to order $250 in food/drink) but they had plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. I loved that the cabanas on the beach could be reserved on line the day before- my favorite feature! I just wish there was seating for 4 instead of 2. I think you can reserve a 2nd one for $15. Our hotel was small and most of the experiences were at the larger Island Grand resort. I lad I had researched better, we probably would have stayed there instead of the Rumfish- more pools, more activities, kids club, etc. we walked over there multiple times a day- not a bad walk but at times it could get hot. We took advantage of most of the resorts free activities and some of the ones with cost like the kids club and Bucky the shark. My sons loved the kids club- shout out to Diego who was their counselor. Theres definitely a lot to do besides just the beach and pool at the resort- but its all dependent on the weather being good. Not much to do in that area during inclement weather. Although the WiFi worked well for my sons. We had several meals on the resort- those were really tasty. The one con was that there was a live music venue close to our resort and they played until like 1 or 2 am. It did make it hard to sleep.

We were greeted with a smile by Sade who is awesome! We arrived very early and requested an early check in and Sade did it with ease. I inquired about the cabanas and she gave us a complimentary front row cabana for the next day, there is an additional cost for front row. When we checked out we had an error on our receipt and Sade took care of it without hesitation! We were on vacation and we appreciated having no hassle with our requests. Sade is professional, knowledgeable & kind. The hotel is a bit dated but clean. The bed is way to soft, no support. Housekeeping did an awesome job cleaning the room. We only went to two restaurants. The one by the children's pool was not good and we went to Bermudas for brunch which was ok. They had a buffet. The beach could have been cleaner. No one maintained the beach for the four days that we were there. On Sunday there was a huge screen on the beach and loud speakers that played the Rays baseball game. That was very disappointing, I wanted to relax and hear the waves not the the game. We left the beach because of that. But all in all we had a pleasant stay. The sunsets are simply amazing!
