We booked the Highfield room as it had a bath and it totally surpassed our expectations. We arrived on a cold winter evening and the room had been heated with lights on ready for us. Beautiful room with gorgeous bay window with views over the city, separate sitting room with tea/coffee facilities and lovely very clean bathroom. Super comfortable bed with really warm duvet, didnt even need to use the electric blankets on the -1 degree night! great balcony to sit and watch the city below / sunset over the Hills with a cup of tea. Breakfast was lovely - freshly cooked soft boiled eggs, toast, cheese, ham, fruit, cereals, yoghurt etc and great tea & coffee. Fergus was a fantastic host.

My sister and I stayed for our last night of our Food & Wine Trail trip. We were surprisingly the only guests that night which made no difference to the level of service we received. We were upgraded to the Highfield suite which was absolutely beautiful and had the most magnificent views of Launceston. Our innkeeper was Fergus and he prepared our breakfast and helped with our bags. What a lovely place - I hope you do well and thank you to Fergus for your hospitality and service!

Lovely attention to detail in interior of a lovely restored building. Wonderful views of the city and loved staying in the amazing Highfield room - large bedroom, lovely sitting room and calming bathroom. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Breakfast sufficient in well appointed room - could get cosy if everyone came to breakfast at same time. Noisy at night with outside town and traffic noises.

We had a lovely stay at Highfield House, a gorgeous old 2 story building with beautifully decorate rooms. The views over Launcestion from the balcony are stunning and there is plenty of room to relax with chairs and bean bags available. Our room was comfortable with a luxurious bed, loads of natural light and a fridge with local delights. The breakfast included a great spread of fresh fruit, eggs, meats, cheeses, spread and crusty bread. Fergus was a delight and so welcoming! We enjoyed breakfast in the courtyard. Our room was the only one without an ensuite, which was not a problem for us, but to avoid disappointment, read the room descriptions thoroughly on their website or call them direct. My favourite part of Highfield was the character of the property. Each room had been styled beautifully and was very modern and grand. Loved it, will stay again!

Having stayed in B&Bs all over the world, this is the best we have been in. A wonderful old house which is cared for, beautifully furnished and accessorised. The location high on the edge of Launceston is great for walking the city. The rooms are spacious, homely, and the bathrooms very luxurious. Staff were in touch and available, and Fergus (the innkeeper) is a true gentleman. Breakfast, as with the bed, was beyond expectations. Parking on site easy and secure.
