      Sooooooo much potential. They have the most stunning foyer and open area on arrival. There is a cafe there but it doesn't open until 9am?? What's the point. Missing sales here for a light breakfast. If you want breakfast you have to go to the restaurant. You can see the muffins in the case and the coffee machine is off. There are plenty of Westerners staying so I think they should open the cafe early. The room was clean but the bathroom needs a fix up as the shower was a little off and looked a little grubby. The bed was excellent as were the pillows. No robe supplied in this hotel. Dinner to my room was ok - french fries were spectacular. BIG problem - I was told the gym does not open until 7am...........too late for a workout and getting to work...........in all the other hotels I stay in the gym is 24/7

      I always find the friends I have made (staff) i.e,Mike and Zamni from Kites restaurant at the hotel go out of their way to make me feel like family, fixing me special dishes or waiting on me in the morning after a very warm friendly greeting. And the office staff Keshawn, Tam, and Liza who make it a point to visit me if I am in the restaurant or in the Glen Lounge or just sitting in the lobby playing with my iPhone. The warmth that I get from these people is exceptional, and sometimes like in July, I made 2 trips to the hotel from California just to spend time with my (friends/family)there, 2 -3 weeks apart. I have nothing but praise for this hotel and its staff. .......By the way Frieda, in the Glen Lounge, makes a great Long Island Ice Tea. I have to have a minimum of 2 drinks, so refreshing on a Warm Malaysian day, they are so good. Kites, caters to the vegetarian palate although a variety of food is prepared for the International fare. You have heard the song I left my heart in San Francisco well Mine, although born in San Francisco , was left in Glenmarie, Shah Allam, Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur.

      I would like to share my personal experience of exceptional customer service provided by the Front Office Manager - Mr. Thanaraj Lecthumanan at the Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie. Firstly, allow me to explain my situation. I am a SPIRE ELITE member and for no reason, have been a victim of unfair treatment During the month of March, I made 4 hotel bookings through my IHG account which was confirmed and fully paid for in advance. I further wanted to book additional stays and to my surprise discovered that my account was blocked and under investigation. I made numerous phone calls to IHG reservations and they were unable to assist me or even disclose any information to that effect. I just cant imagine how one can even think of resolving an issue when there is no communication between the member and IHG rewards department. I decided to bring the matter up during my up coming stay at the Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie on July 16, 2019 and seek the help of Mr. Thanaraj Lecthumanan. Mr. Thanaraj took it upon himself to go over and beyond the call of duty to send out numerous emails demanding immediate clarification on the status of my account. Mr. Thanaraj eventually was able to get an immediate response via email and to our surprise, managed to resolve the issue and my account was up and working again. I would like to take this opportunity to commend and sincerely thank Mr. Thanaraj for his diligence and outstanding customer service in doing an excellent job to help me resolve the issue painlessly in a very short period of time. I cant thank Mr. Thanaraj enough for his effort and dedication to his guest in undertaking such a difficult task when it seemed almost impossible to solve without some form of intervention from within the IHG management team. Last but not least, I would once again like to convey my true appreciation for the exceptional customer service rendered to me by Mr. Thanaraj Lecthumanan who resolved the issue and if not for him, this matter would still be pending and unresolved. Mr. Thanaraj is a true and valuable asset to the IHG brand and I sincerely hope that the Senior Management will give him the recognition he so rightly deserves. This eventually made my day and continued enjoying my stay at the Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie.

      I had to mov to three rooms due to the damp smell. The reception was unhelpful. The third room had cockroaches. They rip you off for cabs. 80 for a ten minute journey. That is 20 dollars. The marketing department pestered me as i ate breakfast. Better hotels at lower price.

    • Amazing bed

      We really enjoyed our stay. Hotel is situated in quiet area surrounded by golf club fields. Rooms are spacious and very clean. We liked bed the most. It was incredibly comfortable bed you will never want to leave. I wish we could buy pillows at least but didnt find information if they are available to purchase? Attentive and polite staff. We left well rested. Thank you.
