I was very attracted to the hotel by its impressive website, great location in the heart of the Loire Valley within easy reach of many of the Chateaus we were touring, its four-star rating, and it being part of the Relais & Chateau collection. Unfortunately, when we arrived the disappointments piled up one after the other. Having made a reservation for the dining room 4 months in advance, we were told that the restaurant was completely booked. On a hot day we asked about the pool and were told it was closed. We were booked in one of the so-called air-conditioned rooms and spend the night sweltering. Wi-fi was spotty at best. The sweet young woman at the front desk was unable to assist us in anything other than the most basic directions. This hotel does not deserve to be associated with Relais & Chateau. Many of the complaints we had echoed previous reviewers, so it would appear that problems have not been addressed by management. That said, the chateau, the grounds, and the breakfast were truly lovely.

My husband and I booked this chateau for an overnight stay and evening meal on our annual drive down to Portugal from England. I was told when booking by phone that the room was up some stairs. I thought nothing of it at the time. On arrival we were shown to our room. What we then encountered was utterly unbelievable. We struggled up two EXTREMLY steep and narrow staircases with our luggage, and reached what I can only imagine were the original servants quarters. The room was old fashioned and very shabby indeed. A real no no for around 240 euro for the night. My husband recently had a very bad fall and is waiting for surgery on his knee. There was no way we would stay in that room. We were them offered a suite on a lower floor at approx 480 euro. We declined, cancelled our dinner reservation and left. We , of course, lost our deposit. Such a real disappointment, as this is a Relais and Chateau hotel. The ones I have stayed in , in the past, were most certainly not to this poor strandard. Actually, the downstairs of the chateau was lovely, it's such a pity to feel we were misled.

This is a exclusive Relais et Chateau hotel in the Loire Valley. Superb park like setting with excellent views throughout the hotel. Quaintly appointed rooms which are very comfortable. Service attentive but they should warn people that some facilities are limited outside of the season. Restaurant was enjoyable. Food excellent. Service a little on the slow side. breakfast expensive but worth the price.

I wasn't certain a Relais et Chateaux such as this still existed. The Chateau de Noizay is really a thrown back to a simpler time. It is very traditional. While comfortable it is not highly polished in the manner of most of it's peers. The grounds are beautiful but not as neatly manicured as many. You do have to take care on the stairs both inside and out. The view from my room, on the top floor, was wonderful. The bathroom was both modern and terrific. I thought the food in the restaurant was somewhat uneven. The sole had virtually no flavor at all although the rest of the meal was good. The service was attentive and friendly. Breakfast was good. I found the staff helpful and pleasant.
