The location of the hotel is close to the city center, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the price is reasonable! We (two girls from Austria) really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We preordered a taxi from the Airport via the hotel, as our plane had a scheduled arrival at midnight. Though the plane was one hour delayed, the pick up worked perfectly (15 eur). The hotel itself is located very close to the city center - 5 min from Skandegad square as well as just around the corner from the new market and has basic shops (mini market, pharmacy,...) as well as an ATM just couple of meters away. The room as well as the bathroom were very clean and as a big plus, a free bottle of water was provided each day! On the first day we got a breakfast which could easly feed three people (yoghurt, a big plate with fruits, vegetables, cheese, ham and a lot of sweets like croissants, cookies etc. - not to mentioned the omlet which we never made to eat bcs it was too much :) - all of that was complimentary including also coffee/tea and water. We were asked after the first day how we liked the breakfast and if we wanted to change anything, where we ordered for the next day just a portion for one which was still sufficient. At the end of our stay also the transport to the bus station was organized from the hotel and it worked perfectly. All in all I would totally recommend to stay there.

Lovely, perfect located hotel with only 6 rooms, to make you feel at home in the city of Tirana. Breakfast is served at the table, with plenty of fruit, yoghurt, fresh juice, cheese, meat, eggs, all you want. Rooms are rather small but well equiped. Restaurant serves very delicious meals a la carte for dinner. Staff is superfriendly and very helpful. A winner!

If you want the best service, the best clean rooms with the best shower, the best beds, the best-designed room interiors, also, the best rooftop restaurant, the best food (amazing breakfasts included in your tariff), the best location and the best value for money anywhere in the world, then look no further than Glorias (glorious) Boutique Hotel and Restaurant in the heart of Tirana within easy walking distance to the famous Skanderbeg Square and most main tourist sites. Glorias owners/management have put the right strategies in place for seeing that their hotel is up there with the best anywhere in the world, in fact, they could teach many a 5-star hotel a thing of two about how to implement HIGH QUALITY standards! Special mention must be made to the outstanding service of all waiters and the ever-so-helpful, caring and friendly receptionist, Ivana!!! Thank you Ivana and all Glorias staff for providing some of the best professional service we have ever received anywhere in the world! Also, thank you to Goni, the driver Ivana organised for us for our drive to Berat. We had an issue on arrival at our destined hotel there having too many scary sandy steps not suitable for our ages. Goni helped to organise a change of hotel for us (a very understanding manger at our original hotel) at no monetary loss and stayed with us until such a place was located, then drove us there assisting with the carrying of our luggage - all in all, this took up an extra 40 minutes of his precious time, and he did so very graciously and obligingly, without charging us any extra, completely out of the generosity of his warm heart! He also has a quality car with proper Air Con and is a very safe driver, not once did he use his mobile while driving! (All good now, were staying in a lovely typical old Ottoman-styled boutique hotel, Muzaka, on street level - also worth considering when booking a hotel in Albanias unique UNESCO world heritage site of Berat.) When in Tirana, dont do what we did - not stay enough nights, 4 at a minimum, we only stayed 3 - its a city thats quirky, buzzing with life, showcasing a mix of intriguing architectural styles, and continually developing its infrastructure and, very aesthetically, its city centre design planning - super lovely pedestrian malls, tree-lined boulevards, gardens, parks and very affordable swanky bars and restaurants are mushrooming up all over the place! Plus tons to do and see. We travel 6 months of every year, and have no hesitation at all in suggesting a trip around Albania as an absolute must-do! Albania has been a genuinely wonderful surprise - the roads are fantastic for anyone considering renting a car, extraordinary landscape, quality accommodation at very affordable prices, great food and local wines, excellent service and above all, fabulous people who are genuinely friendly, helpful, hardworking and interested in learning about the foreigners visiting their beautiful and safe country. Weve yet to visit their beaches, next on our agenda. I hope Ive pushed your travel buttons enough to seriously consider visiting Albania, BUT, look no further when planning your visit to Tirana than booking Glorias Boutique Hotel and Restaurant (our recommendation Room 106) - we intend to revisit, and next time, our stay at Glorias will be for several nights longer than 3!
