I stayed for one night coming to Boston to see the Yankees play. While the Yankees lost my stay at The Commonwealth was a winner. Beautiful room and appointments. The staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to make me more comfortable

I booked Red Sox experience for my birthday( which was that day and no one said happy birthday- usually I could care less but I when booking with the hotel and I specifically say its a birthday gift I am purchasing for myself kinda would have like to have it acknowledged ). Upon arrival(from Seattle) I was told the room was not ready.. ok I get it. I was told they would text me when the room was ready (ok I should have asked what time check in was but I was tired and was excited to be there and have sometime to get ready for the game that evening.) so I go for a walk, had breakfast and came back after 12. Nope room not ready. So we wait in the lobby.. 4 pm and the room is ready. The room is great everything I was hoping for except I didnt have much time to spend in it as I had to get to the stadium for the tour and then game. Exhausted I changed and left for the game. Tour was fun. Seats were AMAZING! Part of the package was to have something on the scoreboard... I missed it as I didnt know which board to look at(would have been nice to have instructions as to where to look bummed). In the grand scheme of things I am lucky to have the ability to experience this but it was a great deal of money that I had saved to be able to experience this and as let down a little.

This hotel is well located, clean, quiet and has incredible client service. The staff truly care about guest satisfaction. We had the pleasure of dealing with Michael Bloom, Christopher Elysee, Myron Attoh and Paul Price. All were most professional and really good at making our stay so very easy and comfortable. We will stay at this hotel whenever possible as we really love it!!

We stayed here as a treat for our son, who is a Red Sox fanatic. The hotel is attractive enough, and the room was large and comfortable. Service in the bar was very slow - the hotel clearly did not know how to plan for a post Red Sox game rush combined with a wedding. The service in the restaurant ranged from indifferent to nonexistent. Also, the restaurant staff was not prepared to guide me to gluten free options (celiacs, so very important) and at least two of their suggestions were not actually gluten free. Basically, I was left with one choice for breakfast. I expected much more from what is supposed to be a high-end hotel. Not sure if I will ever stay there again.

    • One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Wonderful staff and great location

My wife and son stayed here on Labor Day weekend and it was such a pleasant experience. The hotel staff is extremely well trained and are always so happy to serve the clients. The location was beyond amazing, it is located right by Fenway park and next to the subway and bus stations which makes traveling super easy. We had a junior sweet and it was amazing in every way, the bed was super comfortable as well as the bathroom. Housekeeping was punctual, the hallways were always spotless. On the second night the bar underneath the hotel played music until 1am and they really tried to accommodate my wife the best that could given the circumstances. I want to give a special shout out to Corey the manager, he was really incredible in how he handled the situation. We will be coming back to this hotel no questions asked. 10/10
