Easy to find, check in was easy and we were shown to our room which was the Derwent room. Spacious, clean and offering very pretty views of the garden and fells beyond. It was a hot weekend when we visited but there was a fan in the wardrobe which we left on and it worked fine. Beautiful walk in shower and large bath with plenty of fluffy towels provided. The real gem (and reason we booked) was the pool which was warm and clean with stunning fell views. Breakfast was fantastic but cant comment on dinner as chose to eat out. The only thing that let it down for us was the beds, very uncomfortable, lumpy and hard so had a disrupted nights sleep and woke up with a sore back.

We have just returned from a two night stay on D,B&B basis. The hotel, staff, grounds and facilities are superb! Our room (20) was well equipped, comfortable and spacious. The entire hotel was spotless, ALL the staff were friendly and welcoming and readily accommodating to additional requests. The pool facilities were a very welcome addition, again, very clean and a good standard. Finally the restaurant was absolutely first class, both food and drink offerings could not be faulted and served to a very high standard! Highly recommend all round!

Small, comfortable and well located hotel near Keswick. The hotel was easy to find. Check in was friendly and without any problems. The hotel is beautiful with a small wellness area: swimming pool, hot tub and steam room. The views from the hotel's manicured gardens are breathtaking. The staff are friendly and no request is too small. Definitely service with a smile and beyond. The food is really delicious. We went half board. Included is a delicious 4 course menu. We had trouble finishing the lovingly prepared food. We walked from the hotel's back gate to Lattrig/Skiddaw car park. At the car park you can either take an easy walk up to Lattrig or a more challenging one to Skiddaw. It us a short drive to Keswick. We parked just outside the town (I believe it was 2.60 for a couple of hours) and an easy walk to the lake. However if you have a parking disc (obtainable from any supermarket) you can bring the parking costs down considerably. What's not to like about staying at this wonderful hotel? ... can't think! We'll definitely be back.

We decided on a weekend break in August, and headed for the popular destination of Keswick. Lyzzick Hall hotel came highly recommended, and we can understand why. Ideally located only a few minutes drive out of keswick centre, and with plenty of free parking, it scores instantly over the central Keswick hotels. Parking in Keswick is at a premium. The rooms are lovely, and the facilities, including the heated pool, are spot on. More importantly, the standard of service we encountered is a credit to all at the hotel. From reception, to bar and waiting staff, everyone was exceptional. Equally, the standard of food in the restaurant was above criticism. Theres no end of choice for places to eat in Keswick, but trust me, give the hotel restaurant a go....you wont be disappointed. One final thing, ring the hotel direct for their best rate, is was cheaper than almost all of the usual sites.
