I already gave my notes, this category forcing a long review will guarantee you that many will just opt out of this overall survey, I recommend you make this optional as i'm now annoyed by this, but wanted to share.

    • An Excellent Experience

Superb atmosphere and amenities. The room was unmatched in terms of comfort. The food was exceptional. The most impressive part was the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. I will certainly stay there again when in Seattle.

The hotel was very historic and quite beautiful. All of the common areas were clean and well maintained. The beds are very comfortable, but unfortunately the windows are old and they don't block street noise very well. The neighborhood itself isn't very loud overnight though, so it isn't the end of the world.

This hotel is a gem. Beautifully restored and maintained. Excellent service. So many small details to appreciate. The smell of the wood panelled walls in the lobby and lounge. The charming carpets in the elevator that change with the day of the week. Complimentary coffee (good strong coffee!) service in the lobby in the morning, comp bottled water in your room, comp wine hour at 5pm. Lovely rooms with comfortable beds. Friendly staff. We will return!

    • Little value for money here

      Reviewed 25 August 2019

This is a lovely older hotel with lots of history, but needs updating. The prices are high high and the eating areas and lounges are pretty deserted overall. The elevator is inadequate to the building leading to long waits and bushels of laundry being towed up and down with guests....seems there is no service elevator on the property. If you like traditional ambience it is a good space but feels sepulcre-like. Despite good windows the traffic noise from Madison keeps one awake..
