    • Perfect start to our honeymoon. 5*

My husband and I have just stayed here for a week for the start of our honeymoon, we also had our 6month old baby with us. Villa Di Piazzano is absolutely picture perfect, in the middle of the Tuscan countryside you feel like you could be in a storybook. The decor and beauty of the building speaks for itself, however the staff are what make your stay. On every occasion they went above and beyond, whether that be directions and recommendations for local towns or being very amenable with housekeeping and fitting around our daughters ever changing nap routine! The service all the way from breakfast, lunch and through to dinner service in the evening was outstanding. Special mention to Stefano, Gianfranco, Davide and Radek who are an absolute credit to the hotel and provided top class service. Thank you. The Garcia family

Stayed a few nights at Villa di Piazzano and it was memorably relaxing and enjoyable. Magnificent surroundings, the hotel itself is full of history and charm, every staff member has such kindness, professionalism and attention to detail. Our room was very big with a separate lounge and nice a/c that you could easily adjust (or turn off temporarily to open the windows). Large bathroom with double shower, and walk in wardrobe with enough storage space. Elegant welcome hamper with several goodies. Everywhere you look the surroundings are just breathtaking: Toscan hills covered in forest, avenues of Cypress trees, Cortona in the distance, and colorful magical sunsets. Nice size pool always at a good temperature. Breakfast is a buffet with a great variety of different options, including fresh organic fruit from their trees.

My wife and I are now sitting beneath the massive chestnut tree overlooking the Umbrian countryside. She's in the middle of writing a book, so I'm on my computer too, writing a review of this stunning property. We remarked at breakfast how, when you are sitting on the giant shaded, tree-lined terrasse, it is not possible to place your eyes on a single spot that is not beautiful (well, I suppose my wife could if she looked straight at me, but at least I couldn't). We are very busy when not travelling, and so seek out peace and beauty, and have found this in many places. But few compare to this place. The proprietors and staff have internalized the importance of VIlla di Piazzano's history and prominence in this region, and care for it as if it were their family's own property. Gianfranco, the restaurant manager, is there early in the morning and late at night. He remembers your name. His service is kind and understated; it's perfect. Jessica, the guest service manager, is just as wonderful. She speaks English, German and Italian because her guests do. You'd like to invite her to dinner. The food is wonderful. Breakfast is a plentiful and thoughtful buffet. Meals in the bistro or formal dining room (or outside patio area) are deliciously prepared and full of Tuscan ingredients. Our room, the Limonaia, is superb. Vaulted ceilings, four poster bed, serenely air-conditioned and cleaned perfectly every day. Sun drenches the room in the morning. It's heaven. The pool is heated and large and never too busy. Bikes are available to rent. There are places to six and relax all over the property. If your life is as busy as ours (it probably is), and you want the antidote, book here straight away.

We stayed in a second-story room with a loft with a comfortable couch that had a better view than any of the other rooms around us. The downstairs part of our room was well appointed and the bed and linens very comfortable. The armoire was a bit tight for us and we had to request more hangers, as there was no closet in the room. The bathroom was very clean and spacious enough for us. What stood out for us was the exceptional customer service especially at the front desk (Yelena and others took very good care of us), the pool area with a large lawn next door, and the outdoors eating patio with two separate menus (we tried both, and were very impressed). Breakfast was included and had innumerable choices and high quality.

From the second you drive up to the Villa, its nothing short of magical. The scenery and attention to detail are truly impeccable. We also got tremendous service from Alice the host, and the superb wait staff - particularly Stefano!
