We were recommended Villa del Casale by the owner of our villa. We had two fabulous meals there, the seafood was incredible, as were the pizzas. The staff were wonderful, very attentive and coped with our lack of Italian language so well. Such a beautiful setting and obviously a very popular restaurant judging by how busy they were on both occasions we visited. Would highly recommend.

We spend a Sunday afternoon early March sitting in this beautiful old farm and eating the different antipasti, primi, secondi included in the week end menu (book ahead!). It was very simple but for us amazingly tasty and fresh. Worth a road trip from Siracusa.

Fascinating visit and the sheer scale and quality of the mosaics is amazing. You follow a path above all the rooms in the villa looking down at the incredible mosaic floors. Each room is different with different stories associated. It is enclosed for most of the experience so good to get out the sun/rain.

    • Best. Pizza. Ever!

The place looks nice and seems to be popular. Our Italian host recommended this place to us and it did not disappoint! We hd antipasti to start with and the carpaccio was to die for! For main course we had traditional pizza and honestly I haven't had a pizza like that ever. All the locals seemed to eat pizza too and that's how you usually know what is good! Perfect crust and quality ingredients made the pizza absolutely delicious. My husband had the "mixed grill meat platter" and it was average. For dessert I had the traditional Sicilian cake but after gobbling down the delicious pizza it was a bit too heavy for me. Tasty but very sweet! They don't speak a lot of English but the waiter really made an effort and with our terrible Italian it worked quite well. The service was very good and they made recommendations and explained what all the dishes were. Best restaurant in Siracusa!

Amazing food and excellent service! Traveling to Eastern Sicily from Connecticut, USA to visit family. Very impressed with owner, with the courteous and professional staff and with the locale. But it was the food that took the spotlight. Restaurant is off Route 124, about 10 miles west from Syracuse, just before the little town of Solarino. (don't miss the Ragu' rice balls - Arancine -, if you travel up to the town square). Thursday evening, coming back from visiting Enna in central Sicily. (Make it a point to visit; the views from this highest altitude regional capital in Europe are breathtaking). We (party of 5) decided to start with sampling the multiple seafood and fish plates offered. Approximately 10 minutes after placing the order we were experiencing a Mediterranean gastronomic seafood / fish festival comprised of various (10+) separate dishes of delicacies caught that same day. Taste buds jumping. Gazing over at the local patrons, they seemed to very much enjoy their luscious dishes as well. This was an unexpected and just down-right awesome gustatory experience. Epic, memorable meal. The restaurant is a hidden gem I was very glad to discover. Bravi tutti e grazie.
