So being a West Indian, born and bred in the Caribbean, we had not been to this part of the West Indies because you had to take more than one flight to get there. So we got the nerve and made our reservations etc. because we wanted to see what this side looked like. It's not a very big place, small crowded beach area (man made). The food was ok, usual 'buffet business.' There's a restaurant you need to make a reservation for, open on certain days. Forgot the name but you should try the lobster etc. The suite was quite spacious: living room area, tv, toilet, kitchenette. Upstairs: master bedroom with toilet and bath; another room with two single beds, toilet and bath. I found that the master bedroom had no closet space. Our location was nice, got a look at the ocean, saw many creatures (iguanas). From the outside it looks like a parking lot but then when you go in, you wouldn't believe there's an ocean in the back lol. I'm told the infastructure is the same as in France. Small place but cozy. If you don't speak French and you're going on a tour, please ensure you ask for an English speaking tour guide-it helps. Everyone here speaks french so sometimes it was a bit difficult to understand people.

    • Mahogany was not a good choice

Le Creole is located in a good point of Grande Terre (renting a car). The beach of the hotel is not of great but leave to you the possibility to have a bath after an excursion to basse terre o to le Suffriere. The problem is that all beaches are public in Guadalupe and this is right. But in the afternoon chears, umbrellas and other hotel things are occupied by people who arent guest of the hotel without control. The public space of the hotel, the restaurant (that with a buffet at a good price), the bar and the swimming pool are good. The problem is that hotel is a complex of more buildings. We booked Mahogany Ocean View. Mahogany is the farther building, the more umid. When we arrived they gave us the room 322. It was not exactly ocean view. We asked to change and they gave us the room 336. It was at second floor, extremely umid. After one night inside all our clothes are wet. After our claims and after they tried to give us a room in another building at a day increase of 40 euro, finally the assigned us room 353. For us this room, at third floor, beetween two bigger apartments and higher was the sole enough in that building. So when you book dont reserve Mahogany for the good will of your vacation (Between other things one evening we had not the hot water from the shower without help requested but this can happen).

When I went to the XVIII Siecle, I was admiring this hotel. I liked the rooms that are painted in white. They had flowers, trees and palm trees. They even had a road for walking. We saw the XVIII Siecle, and were amazed about this beautiful hotel. They have a nice beach as well and close to the Ocean and a swimming pool. I wish that I had seen this place. It is attractive!

We spent a week at La Crole Beach & spa. We were familiar with the premises before our stay as we've done dinner on occasions while in Guadeloupe. We booked a basic room & were more or less satisfied with the room besides the following : 1. A C made noise on the second night onwards & smelt a bit 2. Noise could be heard in the corridor, it sounded like other guests rolling by with luggage. 3. Noisy next door neighbor All in all, the rooms are not sound proof 4. Another thing management needs to look into, is the various air conditioning leaks in the dinner room located over some tables. Luckily, not over the buffet area. Positive points: 1. Great service upon arrival as our luggage was taken directly to our room by the hotel porter before we could even check in 2. Easy check in at the reception area 3. Clean room 4. Great food at dinner buffet (there is a fee but worth the quality of food proposed). You'll wanna have dinner on a Tuesday evening if you're a marinated tuna fan (thon marin la Japonaise) You'll discover lots of dishes from Guadeloupe & other caribbean way in cooking. Breakfast buffet is included in hotel fees & definitely fills you up for a long day...great variety as well ! 5. Pool is well taken care of ! I personnally saw the pool guy testing the quality of the water. Also saw them washing down the pool chairs & area. I do believe there is room for improvement as with every facility but we were not deceived.

The toilet in our room was out of order for two days. We reported this on our first day, but it wasnt fixed. We wanted to have another room and after several arguments we got another room. There was no water at all for almost a whole day. We met a german couple who told us that they didnt have any water for three days!!! The temperature of the water in the shower is either very, very, very dangerously hot or to Cold. It is impossible to control the temperature of the water!!!! The toilet in the new room didt work either, so we desided to move to an other hotel. We asked in the reception if we could get some money back because we had payed for three more nights, but they said no.
