    • Late booking

We booked the same day we arrived as a spur of the moment get away for one night. I couldnt be more happier with the check in. Smiling, friendly & efficient. The building is built on a steep hill but clever thought has allowed you to drop bags & passengers close to the entrance before using the ample parking. The staff had no issues with uncovering the pool & hot tub which are kept at 30 & 39 degrees respectively and also happy to serve cocktails to us while in the tub. We used the restaurant in the evening and the food was to a high standard, and house wine is under 19 a bottle. Evening entertainment was enjoyable and interactive via a singer called Paris, the lounge comfortable with a mini cinema adjacent. Our room was well stocked with very good quality linens and towels. If you were to inspect it like you were a contestant on 4 in a bed youd find a bit of dust at the top of the Venetian blinds but you be stupid to consider that a negative. Breakfast was a good range of the usual products and done on a buffet principle and you can order specific eggs or teas. Its a 5 /6 minute walk to marina or shopping all downhill, use a taxi to get back or walk & burn off a few extra calories to make room for a cheeky cocktail

friendly, clean country hotel which matches expectations. please be aware that there are some building works going on at the new spa although these are well advanced and did not cause disruption. the outdoor pool is heated and good for a swim. the breakfast is ok but nothing special. the rooms are nice and comfortable although whoever pu the pictures up very much needs to be bought a spirit level!. everything was clean and everyone friendly so no complaints. its up quite a steep hill so whilst walking into town is no problem walking back requires some energy.

Return visit My return visit to this lovely hotel in Torquay for 3 long enjoyable days. All the staff were really friendly, supportive and kind and nothing was too much trouble for them when asked for assistance. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and of a pleasant nature from all the staff. I enjoyed my ground floor room (39) which was most welcoming and clean. There was a lovely on suit and the bed was delightfully comfortable. (I did not need sleeping tables to get me to sleep plus my concern was the contractors were working on a 2 million Gymnasium, but my fears were soon relieved, since (Connell Contractors) came and worked quietly and with professionalism, a credit to the workmen. No bad language, shouting etc from the site.) The food was out of this world, hot and tasty and served by professional waitress/waiters. My choice of from the menu each evening was a task, but an enjoyable one. I loved the Butterfly chicken, divine! The wine list was extensive and many choices for a truly lovely desert together with a good glass of wine. Breakfast was available for all and so much to choose from, i.e. Continental or full English. Set me up for the day. The outside pool was inviting which I used daily for my half mile swim and relax in the hot tub in the wonderful gardens of Lincombe Hall Hotel. One could also relax on the loungers around the pool which I did and it was great. An evening entertainment by Sarah Yeo was well attended and enjoyed and this young lady could surely sing. Thanks Sarah and Lincombe Hall Team for arranging this free of charge event. I have stayed at this hotel many times and I will return as soon as possible. I loved it and all the staff. Thank you ALL!

Hotel is basic, nice decor but lacks that edge. Good outdoor facilities, especially when spa is reopened. Breakfast was good, staff helpful. Was ideal for us as we tend to go out day and evenings. Location good, if you are looking to be away the centre (only 5 min walk).
