    • Oasis in Old Sciacca

Your staff is your treasure. Thank you Claudia for personalizing our visit and making our trip the best ever. Our family of twelve appreciated and enjoyed your care for us all. On our first night Claudia arranged for a spread of appetizers in the Wine Grotto that was home cooked with fresh ingredients that we can't stop talking about. Ask her about it. It was well worth it and a great experience. Each morning a beautiful breakfast buffet was set out for everyone in the hotel - coffee, fresh pastries, breads, yogurt, cereal, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruits and juices, jellies and of course...Nutella. When we asked for local information, Claudia was always able to help. The hotel is an oasis in old Sciacca. Be aware, you will need to park elsewhere and walk your luggage on the walkways to the hotel. That being said, you are a short walkable distance to the center of town and the piazza. There is an elevator and our rooms were always clean and cool. This was our second stay at Al Moro and will be back again.

    • This is a beautiful restored ancient building complete with a cave converted into a party room.

Do not hesitate to book here. The accomodation is centrally located in Sciacca, so you'll be able to walk most anywhere in town. The manager, Claudia, is exceptionally qualified, a polyglot, and a French trained chef who knows the area intimately well.

A well located place in the center of the city. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was acceptable and the host helpful. It is located in a poor to middle class area and for us this makes it more interesting. The design of the house itself is also interesting.

I wouldnt highly suggest this hotel. It was recommended in lonely planet but a bit of a miss. The place was clean but the air conditioner did not work. The room was so hot all night. When we told the host she didnt believe me or thought we broke it. We generally got a hostile vibe from her the entire time. Not sure if it was just an off weekend for her but it made our trip feel tense.

This hotel is one of the best in Sciacca, the owner is friendly and it is very central. I suggest you visit the central part of sciacca where you can see a lot of local ceramists. A lot of bars and cafeterias close to the hotel.
