    • Best Holiday Ever

      Reviewed 27 August 2019

Just home from a weeks stay here and it was Perfect. Best hotel Ive ever stayed in. Super clean, staff couldnt be more helpful or friendly and the food is amazing. Outdoor pools kept the kids entertained and the nightly entertainment kept everyone happy. With a shuttle bus service offered by the hotel for as little as 1 each way. The Hotel is about a 15 min walk from Malcesine downhill which is lovely but the walk back up in the heat can be tough so take advantage of the bus Cant wait to come back.

    • Special Diet - Helpful Staff

Recently stayed at the Majestic Palace. I suffer from coeliac disease and am also lactose intolerant, which when dining out can be a problem. Despite this information not initially getting through to the hotel from the tour operator, when I informed the restaurant staff they could not have been more helpful. I was provided with gluten free food every morning and was asked what I would like for my evening meal. To include being presented with diary free ice cream on a glass plater surrounded in fresh fruit! My thanks to all the staff but also Guiseppe and Eleanora who were so kind. The reception staff are also very friendly and helpful. The public areas of the hotel and the rooms are comfortable and very clean and ideal for families. The location is high above the town and the walk to Malcesine and back can be hard in the heat, there is a shuttle bus to and from the hotel. The only comment would be that the bus could run more frequently.

    • Amazing family holiday

      Reviewed 14 August 2019

We stayed for 11 nights at the end of July as a family of 4 (with a 12 and 3 yr old) and overall it was an excellent hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. If I was to be picky then there were a few things that I think culd be improved but in the scale of things very minor. The only negative parts for us was that the entertainment was repeated the second week meaning we couldnt really watch it unless we wanted to watch the exact same act again (some of the singers werent great) and the hotel got very busy the second week meaning it felt a bitover crowded compared to the first. That aside the rooms were spacious (albiet a bit dated) but there was a mini fridge supplied so you can keep your own suppied cool. We stocked up from the local spa regularly as the drinks were quite expensive in the hotel (3 euros for a can on pop compared 50c in the shop). The food was excellent and there was always a fantastic choice and we made the most of the fantastic deserts on offer! the staff were great and couldnt do enough for you. There was plenty for the kids to do with several pools, mini golf, play areas and indoor play gym which was staffed by a lovely lady and she made sure the kids had fun. You can leave your child there if they are over 4 but I just stayed whilst mine played and she loved it there. The town was around 15 minutes walk away, and if it wasnt for the heat wave we had, its a nice walk down, There was a mini bus to and from the hotel but it only fit 7 people and with there being 4 of us it was hard to fit on! There is a tourist bus also that you can catch. We found a walking path that took a different route and meant we could walk along the lake side into the town which was nice. The town is beauiful and the cobbled streets have plenty of shops and restaurents to keep you busy. You must go up Mount Baldo on the cable car, its a wonderful sight, We were lucky and walked past on market day and there was no queue so went straight up! Aparently it gets very busy so this may be worth remembering! There is loads to do and it kept us busy for 11 days. Id recommend a boat ride over to Limone for the day, it not expensive and the ride itself takes around 20 minutes. You catch them like a bus and they come regularly. We did several of the TUI trips including Verona, The Dolomites and the Lake Tour. All of the trips were amazing but you need to be prepared to travel as some of them are longer than you are lead to believe. Verona was around 1.5 hours with a comfort break just before you arrive at Verona (I would recommend you take it as the guided walk is anothr 1.5 hours once you arrive) then you have free time in the city which is beautiful, well worth the trip. The Dolomites was spectacular and amazing to see. As you travel there you pass through apline villages and it feels like you are in a different country its really beautiful and feels very 'Austrian' there. It was around 3 hours to the first stop where we had 1 hour free time before returning to the bus for around another 1.5 before stopping for a photo opportunity. Around another hour before stopping again at the cable car where we had 2 hours free time. Although the cable car looks a litte scary it was absolutely stunning and I would definately recommend you go to the top of the mountain. Back on the bus for anouther couple of hours before a comfort break followed by a couple more hours back to the hotel. I think we worked it out that we had spent over 7 hours on the bus in total. Luckily our 3 year old did amazing but it was a very long day. Still feel it was worth it though! The lake tour was nice, we got to see 3 of the villages and visited the south of the lake. Overall I would use this hotel again and was great for a family holiday.

    • Hotel has lost a star.

We have stayed in this hotel last week for the 3rd time in 5 years. Still a lovely hotel, staff are amazing. However the food has declined in terms of variety and availability. Used to me a Maitre Dee no longer so the eye is off the ball. Entertainment at night is very poor, and not worth attending unless your 4 year old. Final big thing no life guard around a very busy pools. Kids are great but adults playing ball goes beyond a game.
