We stayed at Minos Beach Hotel for 4 days, brief summary: Room very nice in almost all aspects except, the door to the toilet had clear glass?! I sure for most it may not have been a problem, but definitely would for some others .. 5* been in many throughout the world never seen this. Cleaning great, staff all a credit to the hotel in everyway. Beach areas lovely, gorgeous, stunning views, no trouble getting a sun bed. Food in the main restaurant lovely, home cooked quality, not so good at the pure bar, although staff lovely. Great position. Overall a lovely stay, a tad to quite for us, but if you like peace throughout the day and evening this is the place for you. Oh minor issue windy..& Cicada's in the trees so loud, sit away from the trees if you can, more peaceful. Would we come again yes definitely.

    • Definitely not a 5 star hotel...

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights in August. Location is very nice as described by other guests. Check in was done without any problems but our room was really a huge disappointment ... looked like a room coming from the 60s with a small ridiculous bathroom. Apparently some rooms have been renovated but ours was horrible. Instead of a bathtub we were presented with a jacuzzi type cabin that was leaking during shower. After complaining the lady at the reception admitted that some rooms are old and the hotel was in the process of renovating the older ones... as the hotel was full tough luck ! Hotel room aside we had a very good time as the location is nice, food is very good throughout the resort and staff was very polite and helpful. Unfortunately at 590 euros per night we cannot recommend this hotel.

Beautiful location, and lovely ambience - gardens and artworks. The sea had nice clear water and lots of fish for fun snorkelling. They loved the leftover bread and cheese from breakfast! The hotel's two beaches are really safe for babes. Lots of really comfortable sunbeds (literally huge beds in some cases) which were the most comfortable I think I've ever experienced. We could always find somewhere, even though the hotel was supposed to be full. Like lots of other comments we thought the rooms were small (strange considering how much space there is in the hotel grounds), and the drinks and coffee pods (for the Nespresso machine in the room) expensive. But the bed was big and very comfy, and our aircon worked fine. A couple of tips - not all the rooms have baths (again a bit odd for a hotel of this quality), so if you want one you'll need to request it in advance. And secondly, because of the layout (the hotel's seafront stretches over 2km apparently) and the slightly rough paths, if you're a bit infirm you may want to request a room nearer the main building. We were in room 82 which was fine (not a seafront room which have their own private sunloungers /terrace with a ladder to greet down to the sea). Lovely view, but a bit of a trek to the centre (they have golf carts if you want to be picked up). But the really good thing about this place is the staff. Everyone was friendly. Everything was spotless, and our housemaids were really nice. And the absolute best thing was the care shown by the restaurant and kitchen team. I can't eat gluten, and, in contrast to many places where you're made to feel a nuisance, I was treated like royalty. There was lots of choice, and I was walked through what I could and could not eat by the sous chefs every meal! Particular thanks to Eirini - my 'mother hen!'

If I had the power to let everyone know what an amazing place this hotel is I would do just that . From the accommodation, food and first class service to its idilic location you could not wish for any more for that perfect holiday destination. Thank you staff for making it one of the most memorable vacations and we will see you again next year ....

    • Poor rooms ruined what could have been a fantastic holiday

Having booked a waterfront room with private sundeck we were put in room 108 right next to the public beach, a bar and club with a 1 metre deep so called "sun deck" and a huge tree in front of the room (& poor wifi reception). Having got the early flight out to make the most of our first day we finally got on the beach by 5pm. Our bags were sent to the wrong room, the on site app password we were given had expired and I could go on.... We asked to be moved and were told we would have to stay in this room for one night. We were then moved and put into the smallest room we have ever been in which was at the opposite end of the hotel. This move wasted another half day of our holiday due to their inefficiency. The air conditioning in the second room was both noisy and inefficient to the extent we had to turn it off at night. The shower leaked such that there was a pool of water in the bathroom after every use. Maintenance did partially fix the latter after two days. Customer services then asked if we wanted to move again two days later but we didnt want to waste any more time and have to pack and unpack once more. Our sons room had recently been refurbished but the air conditioning didnt work properly and having called maintenance they made it worse which then leaked for the final three days. Finally the coup de grace was that the Jet2 flight home was delayed about 4 hours.
