This B&B is in a historic building in central Florence. We had requested an apartment on the garden side so even though the building on a bustling pedestrian street, our apartment was extremely quiet. The apartment itself is a bit dated but comfortable nonetheless. The air conditioners were appreciated during the summer heat wave. The excellent continental breakfast was included and served at a cafe around the corner. The checkin / checkout process was smooth and the staff, whom we could contact either in their office during business hours or by text message, were super friendly, helpful and accommodating. We were looking for a central, safe, quiet, clean, comfortable, no-frills place to sleep after a full day of sightseeing in Florence and this B&B definitely fit the bill. We would definitely recommend Palazzo Alfani al David.

We loved staying at Palazzo Alfani al David in Firenze. After staying in small hotel rooms in Rome, it was really nice to come to a home like apartment. The apartments were great size, comfortable and right in front of Galleria dell Accademia, which was a plus since we did not have reserved tickets so we had to wake up early for the line. Just going across the street to the museum made it so much easier! Location was definitely a plus, very close to most touristic places in Firenze. Like in most of Europe, I would recommend traveling light. Stone streets, tiny roads and slow elevators make it hard for those traveling with big bags. From the train station is a short taxi drive to the Palazzo. Also, it is easy to get transport in the corner plaza, which has bus stops and many taxis. The apartments were pretty modern and very clean. Giulia at the Palazzo was super helpful. She easily accommodated our travel schedules by letting us check in earlier and storing our luggage after checkout time while we did some additional sightseeing before our train. Although short, we had a great stay at this place, we would have loved to stay longer! Definitely recommend it!

Apt was very comfortable for a family of 4. We had a garden view room which made the noise from the street a non issue. We didnt even realize how big and loud the queue for David had gotten until we opened the front door. The location was a short walk to all the major sites and literally steps away from David. Breakfast which is at a cafe 2 blocks away was wonderful and filling. My husbands suitcase was lost by our airline and Francesca went out of her way assisting us. The parking garage was also a short distance away (2 blocks on the same street). She also helped us with tickets to see David. Which saved us hours. Her recommendations for dinner were spot on. She is a very kind women who takes great pride in her building and her love for Florence shines through.

During our stay in Florence at the Palazzo Alfani, we had an amazing experience. Location was great, right across David's museum near the "heart" of Florence, what can be better? The place was fabulous, it made you feel like you are in one of the antique rooms from all the visited museums, with a contemporary switch. First and last it amazed me how clean/spotless the place was(it needs mentioning even though it might be an expectation that not always real...)The host Francesca was fantastic, not only did she provided services such as coffee and snacks, but she helped us furthermore after we already fulfilled our room stay, she searched train tickets for us and others, she kept our multiple luggages at her place, since the train departure was at night, plus we had more hours to enjoy Florence and eat again at All' Antico Vinaio:)). Apperently "you didn't go to Florence if you do not eat there", so true:)) I would definitely recommend this place and I will go back anytime. Thank you for the positive and an amazing experience:))
