The Parador is perfectly located near the old town center of Cuenca. The Parador is a monument of its own and worth a visit. Rooms are large, with beautiful antique beds and closets. Bathroom was large with tub and powerful shower. To be noted there are no connecting rooms, but they provided close rooms for our family. Despite being full the Parador still maintained peacefulness. Restaurant was maybe not as good as could be expected, with the kid veal cutlet overcooked, but the remaining dishes all well prepared and priced. Pool area also well kept and clean with plenty sunbeds and towels for the guests. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice and served in the beautiful dining room of the hotel. Cuenca is really worth a visit and the Parador the perfect hotel to stay. Rooms receiving sun for the afternoon are warmer, air conditioning equipment can be noisy at times.

Lovely welcome from the reception lady( even though we had booked on Booking.com). Gave us a lovely quiet room overlooking the valley. Went to the old town over the pedestrian bridge. Did an audio tour of the catherdal. Very good. Decided not to eat in the old town but in the courtyard at the Parador. What a good decision. Great setting, peaceful, lovely food and great wine.

A great place to spend a relaxing few days and full of the usual parador interior furnishings giving a lovely medieval feel. The restaurant was excellent and a big bonus for light eaters was that half portions (still ample) were available for most of the menu dishes. A tip for breakfast: ask for your eggs to order as those on display were almost cold every day.. The bedrooms are discretely furnished but do be aware that those in the front are over the car and coach parking (and the lovely view!) so there can be noise late at night and early in the morning: we had a coach depart very early before breakfast with a lot of noise from the passengers.

A nice hotel but looking tired in the Junior Suite which was ok but not really special in any way that justified the high price. The restaurant in the courtyard was lovely and the food/wine very good. The staff were busy and rushed around too much but they were very attentive and we enjoyed our meals on both nights. All in all I would recommend this Parador but the Junior Suite is not good enough for the money we paid.
