5 minutes from the airport n $11 by Uber to the Lincoln Memorial. Nice large rooms really clean n a friendly staff. The breakfast is wonderful however the Italian restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. I would stay there again.

Shuttle runs every 1/2 hr, rode shuttle from DCA to hotel- 5 minutes. Easy checkin. Had great upgrade to executive suite. Very clean room. I was on airport side, so I could see runways & Potomac- I prefer to see runway. Was quiet room. Concierge lounge large, I didn't have breakfast there so can't speak to it. Room service, prompt, food was excellent. Check out easy & correct. Will return next time I have to work DC/Northern VA

Overall great new hotel with great service. Rooms are modern and well designed. I gave it 4 stars because noise insulation is bad. Could hear people in the adjacent room/s and in the hallway. In addition, at one point we heard noises coming from the door connecting to the adjacent room as if someone was trying to open it. When we unlocked it and opened it the we saw the guests next door, who opened their connecting door. A very awkward moment, which should not happen. Does not inspire confidence in security.

I recently stayed four nights during July 4th week. The hotel was clean, modern and easy to get in and out of DC. Not having a pool turned out to be a big deal as it was very hot and humid that week. Had access to 14th floor concierge room for comp breakfast which included plenty of nice offerings for breakfast, you just had to move quickly as the large holiday week crowd attacked the breakfast offerings as they were brought out. The comp room was understaffed and the woman working the room did the best she could at replenishing the supplies. During a big holiday week I felt additional resources should have been in order to keep up with the crowds. The comp room had a nice view of DCA. The hotel room was clean, bed comfortable and staff very friendly, especially Adam C. We encountered Adam at various times throughout our stay and he made it a point every time to chat with us and ask how we are doing. He could be one the nicest hotel staff members we have met. Marriot should be glad they have him. The bar/restaurant area was a good place to grab a meal and cocktail, nice vibe. However the only drawback to that area was that there was this woman who was living at the hotel for some time because her apartment was undergoing mold removal. During breakfast and at other times this person would dress in her Marriot robe, harass the wait staff, demand food orders from the staff and walk behind the food prep area. The staff seemed to be somewhat afraid of her and would bring her large amounts of food from the buffet. One morning, my wife was feeling a little under the weather and I asked the waitress for a container to bring my wife tea and some cereal up to the room. I was told by the server that it is not permitted. However, the woman in the robe seated next to us was given take out containers every morning and brought several back to her room. So much for being platinum elite. I felt sorry for the staff that they had to put up with this person, but I presume Marriot made out on that deal. On our last day at breakfast the woman was out of control , wearing headphones and singing out loud and asking for all sorts of food instead of heading over to the buffet and getting it herself. The food was brought to her table, not eaten, then thrown away. That day , one of the clerks came over and asked her to go return to her room, in which she complied. It made for an uncomfortable experience. Very surprised at Marriot for putting their staff and guests in this predicament. I though they could have handled it better.

I typically stay a little further north in Crystal City as the other Marriott properties are closer to the metro. Decided to give this property a try as the rates at the other properties were higher than usual, glad we did. Was greeted at check-in by a very knowledgeable and friendly team member and a very inviting lobby area. I was informed I was upgraded as a Titanium to a suite. The suite was very nice and comfortable! The club lounge is closed on weekends so they give breakfast in the restaurant. I would say that is the only let down as the service was "ok" but definitely not as good as other areas of the hotel we experienced. We found that items on the buffet to be of good quality but would have been nice to have something beyond the typical American buffet items, still fine buffet though.
