    • Anniversary Celebration

This property is gorgeous. Newly renovated. Close to so many great restaurants and attractions. Reasonably quick drive to some iconic places like Mazzaros italian market and deli, Jo-Els deli and kosher market (notice a theme here?), Tampa Riverwalk, Amalie Arena, IKEA, etc. But, let's get back to the hotel. The staff was extraordinary (Roger at the front desk couldn't have been more welcoming and gave us an anniversary gift). Lots of othe helpful, friendly folks on staff. Others staying at the hotel seemed like VERY happy guests too. The property is set in the kind of park-like location we like like...quiet, yet close to shopping and highways. Thanks for such a great stay!

We stayed and the staff was amazing. Thomasa, upgraded out room because we're Platinum member. She was great and so thoughtful, helpful and friendly! Ms.Cynthia, the front desk, was so kind the entire stay and helped us with more that expected. Ms Deborah, in the kitchen was so amazing she treated me like I lived there! They all worked beyond our expectations! I will only come back because of the staff. They all deserve a raise or promotion most obviously! I NEVER do a review, ever, but had to do this one!

This was the second time this year that my partner and I stayed at this hotel. We both love the complimentary breakfast as well as the staff and the newly renovated rooms! We have stayed in both the one bedroom suite and the studio suites and we love the studio suite because it seems more spacious and offers a King sized bed. I am sorry to say I forgot the names of the staff but both the woman and gentleman at the front desk were very welcoming and even offered us late checkout since we were running behind on schedule! We can't wait to come back in the near future.

We stayed here for 5 nights the last of April. The 2 bedroom suite we booked was quite nice & was what we expected. The first day there, we went out exploring for a few hours & came back to relax for a while. Upon walking into the room, we smelled a strange odor that almost smelled like skunk. We then called the front desk who promptly sent someone to our room. After checking things out, he informed us it was in fact, marijuana. They expected someone in a room above us had smoked it in the bathroom. Instead of venting to the outside, it went into the duct work & ended up in our bathroom. We then were told we would have to leave the room for a few hours so they could fumigate . They had to open the windows, set up fans, Shut off all power to everything & set off a container to get rid of the smell, which went well. About 1:00 in the morning, we again woke up to the same smell, again calling the front desk. They again, came to the room to tell us it was the same problem. They offered to give us another room, but we didn't want to pack up & move everything in the middle of the night, so by closing one of the doors & putting wet towels at the bottom of the door, we spent the rest of the night there. They also told us they had called the police to come due to a loud party going on in another room. We were relocated to another room the following morning & had no further issues during our stay. Other than that, it was an OK stay although would not stay there again. On a good note.... the woman tending the breakfast buffet made some of the best scrambled eggs I have ever had at a Residence Inn.( Wish they would put out real bacon !!!!! )
