    • AMAZING Time at the Rosewood Baha Mar!!!

We had an AMAZING trip to the Rosewood Baha Mar!!! The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the staff was over-the-top wonderful. I think that when everyone is committed like the management and team at the Rosewood to customer service it makes such a HUGE difference in your enjoyment at a resort. The beach is beautiful and the restaurants are delicious. The Rosewood is connected to a casino and the Hyatt Baha Mar so you have so many different activities and restaurants to choose from during your stay. The concierge teams can help you schedule great activities and/or excursions for each day. The concierge team was AMAZING!!!! They did an incredible job. For example, Roselle & Alecia were both extremely knowledgeable about the Property and the Bahamas - a first rate concierge team and among the very best I have ever worked with at any resort (they have my vote for friendliest team too!). Prior to our trip, on the day we arrived, all through our trip, until the moment we left the concierge team helped us every step of the way to make sure that we had a wonderful and memorable vacation. We were celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary (we got engaged in the Bahamas 31 years ago) and Roselle and Alecia along with the Rosewood management team and staff made sure that our anniversary celebration week was incredible from start to finish. We pray that everyone in the Bahamas is safe - you are all in our thoughts and prayers regarding Hurricane Dorian. Thanks again for an absolutely amazing trip to the Rosewood at Baha Mar!

    • Costa Restaurant....Amazing!!

What a fabulous final night dinner we had at Rosewood Baha Mar's Costa restaurant. The ambiance is so fun and inviting. We sat at a beautiful table in a cozy hut on the water surrounded by koi fish. So fun for the kids! The staff was fabulous....especially Demeko who was so welcoming and energetic. He greeted us and immediately asked to take a family photo and proceeded to take a video of us and around the restaurant as a memory as well. He made sure my kids were happy and made them feel special throughout the entire dinner bringing my daughter a dessert of fruit with pink princess whipped creme which he came up with all on his own. Thank you Demeko for a job well done. You are awesome at your job and created a very memorable experience for us. Oh yes...and the food was incredible too!! We will be back!

    • Ignore the bad reviews. This place is paradise!

I read all the bad reviews, and after visiting last week....i've concluded that it must be their fault they had any bad service or incidences. We experienced all the great stuff all the other reviews said. I'm not even considering going some place else next year. Couple of tips.....buy a bottle of booze at the airport on your way in and keep it in your fridge. Everything is expensive, know that going in. Food especially. I thought every meal was good but priced high (didn't eat at Carne or Filia). The slot machines are very very tight. Never won more than $10 a few times in the first few nights. Moved to tables after that. BE POLITE to the staff. Being extra polite to the staff got us excellent service every time and a few extra perks a few times. Stay at the Rosewood for a quieter option and a private beach with cushioned chairs and umbrellas. We swam at all the other pools, but often retreated back to rrosewood for more space and less noise. Absolutely superb property.

Rosewood really stepped up their game from the prior year. The service was phenomenal. The staff remembered us from last year and they get to know you by name and remember what you like. Special shout-out to the guest relations manager Dianne Okpuno. She was absolutely incredible and made our stay one we will never forget.

    • Great potential but still evolving after opening recently

The resort has beautiful grounds, our premier one-bedroom ocean front suite was well appointed, the pool and beach were spectacular. Our lead butler, (Super) Mario was absolutely the best! He went over and above what we expected from him. He should be teaching others how to do it! Anisca, arranged all our pre-arrival details, including recommending the VIP Fast Tracking Service and restaurant reservations. The Front Desk staff was efficient and extremely pleasant during check-in and check-out. We were also provided with a hospitality guest room since we arrived early which was much appreciated. Offsetting all that was the lack of consistency in the level of service at the pool versus the beach and between the different butlers. The ambience and calming music at the pool were appreciated, as well as the attentive service. However, when going to the beach we learned that it was okay to play your own music fairly loudly not only in your beach lounge chair but also out on the water on the floats provided. Sound on the water really carries. Also, it is great that ice buckets with water are provided as well as cold towels sometimes, but we often had to wait an hour or more and repeatedly ask (when someone was in earshot) before service was provided. Also, the hotel allows for lounge chairs to be taken. Many such guests never arrived by the time we left for lunch. Also, we did not know that you could get food and drink just like at the pool until the last day when the menus were put out for the first time. Unfortunately, we were leaving the beach when someone finally came to take an order. On the positive side, Germaine, the Beach Manager, was trying to be very attentive and appeared to spend a lot of time training his staff to provide the consistency of service required. There are two nits that are worth mentioning. We recognize that the Rosewood is a luxury resort but other than the Indian dishes at the Commonwealth, the only ones we tried, the quality of the food at the Chinese and the Mexican restaurants were not worth the high prices charged. We wouldnt complain in the least if the food quality/taste was worth it. The other is, although our suite was wonderfully adorned, the location of the microwave was not to our liking. It was below the induction cooktop, low, and difficult for people with back issues to use. Adding to the distractions was our suite location and view. We were looking at the orange roof of the Nexus building (belonging to the Hyatt next door). The blue ocean view was great but out in the distance and no view of the beach. Inside the room was peaceful, but in the balcony we were frequently disturbed by the loud music from a nearby Hyatt pool area, the BBQ aroma from a nearby Hyatt eatery and periodic noises of the silverware/dishes clanging and the blender whirring from the Mexican restaurant directly below the building. This definitely detracted from the peaceful ambience, as advertised, and what we were looking for and asked for in our Guest Preference Form. Unfortunately, unlike service, these things cant be changed. Overall, depending on your suite or room, it could be a great experience once they get the kinks out of being a new resort.
