Experience World-class Service at San Gabriel su casa en ronda

This carefully restored building dates from the 18th century and lies in the most historic district of Ronda, surrounded by ancient monuments. Retaining much of its original charm, the San Gabriel still displays an attractive stone façade and the coat of arms of one of its former owners. Spend a quiet moment in the library corner or in the typically Andalusian courtyard, full of plants and a trickling fountain. Here you can start the day with the hotel’s delicious breakfast. You can also enjoy a film in the intimate cinema room, which includes red velvet seats taken from the city’s old cinema. Combined with its privileged location, the hotel facilities make this a truly authentic Spanish setting for your holiday in rural Andalusia.

    • Charming Hotel & Great Location

We stayed at the San Gabriel during our visit to Spain last November. We chose it due to the location in the city, price, and reviews. Since we had a car after dropping our luggage in the room we went back to the main parking lot in the city. From what I remember we also received a parking voucher so it was free. The lot is less than a five minute drive and took about 10 minutes to walk back to the hotel. The location was perfect to explore the city - just minutes from the bridge and city center. The room itself was very spacious for European standards and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was quite big too and the bathroom had the jet tub/shower combo which was definitely unique! The hotel feels cozy and has a lot of Spanish charm. If we return to Ronda one day we'd definitely choose to stay here again over a newer or trendier accommodation.

We arrived at the hotel and were immediately greeted by the friendly hostess who showed us our room. She was perfectly bilingual. We were offered a free local Cherry wine and were amazed when we found out that our room was as beautiful as the rest of the hotel. We couldnt have asked for more. Thank you!

I booked this hotel for my husband and myself through booking.com for 1 night back on 3/13/18. We stayed here from 8/2-8/3/18. Cost was $126.57/109. This was for a superior twin room and did not include breakfast. Parking for our rental car was in a lot about a 10 minute walk from the hotel and was included. The location was in the old town/Moorish quarter but walkable to most sites, restaurants, and shops. This hotel is actually a historic house. It was originally built in 1736 for the heirs of the family Pizzarros-explorers Peru. Fire destroyed it and it was rebuilt. Homey atmosphere. Old world decor. Check in was easy and personable. Signed the guest book. We were given a map and some suggestions. We also got free tickets for entrance to Mondragon and the Arab Baths. Our room was #10 and on the second floor reached by the stairs or an old time elevator. Took the elevator-very quaint! Our room was clean and spacious. It had 2 single beds which were comfortable. A small couch. Desk, flat screen TV, mini fridge. Bathroom had a tub/shower combo, hair dryer It had a view of the patio/courtyard area. There was information in the room about breakfast options, times available, and prices. Amenities of the hotel included a small cinema room that had red velvet seats and plenty of DVD movies. Pictures on the walls of famous visitors like Ernest Hemingway and travel author Rick Steves. There was plenty of reading material. A sitting room. A pretty room for breakfast. Even a computer/desk/business area. A tranquil patio with seating. This is a unique hotel in a good location. Loved our brief stay here.

This hotel was beautifully decorated yet comfortable and welcoming. It was in the old section of Ronda which we loved. It's quieter and prettier and close to the gorge. I highly recommend staying here.

This hotel is exquisite. The room was large, beautifully furnished and the bed heavenly. Location is perfect. Parking is available close to the hotel at a small cost. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very, very helpful.
