    • Luxury in the City

      Reviewed 6 days ago

We have a good sized room with luxurious fittings and with a view over the city. The bed was very comfortable. The service at reception was excellent and staff were helpful and courteous. Great location as we could walk to the city centre.

    • My second visit to Sofitel Brisbane Central - Good impressions confirmed

      Reviewed 07 October 2019

The hotel is ideally located in Brisbane CBD. Although a bit old-looking, the interior (Including the bedrooms) seems to have been freshen up recently. Bedding is comfortable. Service is really good. One of the things I did not like though is the sound insulation - or lack thereof - between the rooms. The walls look a bit thin and if your neighbours are a bit noisy, them it may become an issue. The problem will even get worse if you get a room with a communicating door (with the adjacent room).

We stay here often because it never fails to deliver and it's location is unbeatable. Staff are always courteous. Thankyou Lachlan at reception and the lovely young lady you looked after us in the bar on the evening of the 25th. Hope you NewZealand trip goes well! .

Overall it was an excellent overnight. Chocolates on arrival was unexpected with a card that had Happy Birthday (50th). Only two things we weren't happy with. 1. I have a CPAP machine and there are NO power sockets close to the bed to plug into. Lucky my machine has a long extension cord, so I could plug into socket under the window. 2. In this day and age, no USB plugs to charge mobile phones.

    • Visit number 15 and well keep coming back

      Reviewed 30 September 2019

My partner and I stayed at the Sofitel for two nights and had a great time as always. As Platinum AccorPlus members we get entry to the Club Lounge which has a really nice breakfast plus evening drinks and canaps. On this trip we also got a lovely fruit box in the room and bottle of wine to enjoy. Very handy location above central station but we never hear the trains. Well be back for visit number 16 this week! They also have a good gym with a great view.
