      Really amazing in every aspect, building, lobby, rooms, staff and wellness area. Wellness are is just amazing, so huge that photos couldnt even give it back. 2 minor things to mention as negative: Receptionist lady was a bit weird upon arrival, no smile, not so friendly. Rest of the staff during the entire stay was ok. Other thing is the usability of the main elevators, very slow and never worked two at the same time. Sometimes had to wait 1-2 minutes.

    • Unprofessional management and team running the place - be aware your money might get lost when paying to them

      We initiated a booking to this place online via their own website. According the specifications and needs defined by them during the booking process we initiated the payment (75% of total costs in advance, very generous from their side :-)). The amount was taken two times from my bank account. After this they claimed they did not receive the payment...I provided them official proof from my bank that the money was transferred to them. Despite this fact they did not take any action to investigate the case properly and on top asked me to pay complete amount of our stay once again (the amount I transferred to them and which they claimed they do not see was much more than our complete costs during our stay). They even did not bother to say sorry for the inconveniences, not to mention to offer any compensation by chance, considering the mistake happened on their side obviously. There was no customer facing personnel contacting me to offer to find solution for the situation. I needed to be in direct contact with their finance team and ask for any kind of help. They totally refused to take any responsibility for the case (with CFO on top) and tried to make me responsible, while I could obviously prove money was transferred, but they did not share any official info that they did not receive it. Up until today I have no info where my money is, which I transferred to them.And they show zero willingness to cooperate. An unprofessional management is running the place, it is a shame it runs as a 5 star place. Furthermore, we experienced a course of unprofessional actions from their side, during our stay there. They do not care in any way to please, the guest. The only thing they care for to bring you the bill. Do not visit this place if you want to feel appreciated as a guest. There are so many places, where you will feel as a real guest and not only a walking wallet.

      I stayed here before and regrettably have to say that quality and service are continuously declining. The hotel is still beautiful in its entirety, but the lack of repair and proper maintenance is clear no matter if indoors or outdoors. As far as I can remember they used to have water boilers and coffee machines in the rooms, now these are missing, too, whereas such "luxuries" are obvious room facilities in other 5* hotels. While the staff is still better trained than the Hungarian average, in this repect, too, things only got worse. Staff making faces at guests in front of other guests and thinking one cannot see them is something they think acceptable and civilized. It is absolutely not acceptable or civilized. As always, the reception area is the least professional, I start to believe this is because that area requires the least expertise and that is how people try to "compensate". Food selection and taste is still good and some of the staff in the beauty department are really professional. Proper maintenance and American-style customer service training for the staff would probably result in quality and service that is acceptable for the price paid.

      I enjoyed my 2 week stay: - Rooms Ok (a little bit on the small side) - Good Food - Outstanding amenities: Bars, Pool table, Bowling alley - Incredible SPA services: Sauna World (9 different sauna rooms), Thermal pool, and pool.

      We were returning to Spirit and found everything there as we left it 2 years ago. Rooms are very good quality, super clean, breakfast and dinner is very good, spa is one of the best in Hungary. Treatments very professional. Staff very helpful and doing their best to have satisfied guests. Everything was excellent. Some CONs and suggestions : 1. Sometimes wrap-up at dinner is starting before 10pm. This should be checked and solved because it may cause inconvenience for the guests. 2. Food and drinks which are not included are a little too expensive. For example it would be nice to have a selection of soft drinks on the house. 3. Treatment prices are high.
