    • Great place!!!

Wow. First time in a SpringHill Suites. I thought it was going to be one of those extended stay style dumps...far from it. This place was clean, the staff was nice, the breakfast was great AND the price...what a steal. MaKayla the onduty manager was so sweet. She even offered to help me load my luggage into my car. I recently stayed at the Gaylord Opryland hotel which is also Marriott and the service here was better than Opryland. 5 out of 5.

    • Lousy Room Conditions - Highly Disappointed

I rarely write reviews, but this stay had to be shared because the room condition was terrible and the manager I spoke with didn't really seem to care that much. This stay was for a single night to wrap up my birthday weekend. I checked into the room and then went out immediately, so I didn't pay close attention to the room when I got there - if I had, I would have never accepted it. When I returned to the room, it was after midnight and I went to throw some water in the mini-fridge. When I did, I found some leftover Domino's pizza that was left in there from a previous guest. Strike one. I then went to turn the thermostat down. At this point, I noticed the thermostat was not even attached to the wall - it was hanging by a single screw and the electric wires. I set the thermostat at 65, but the lowest temperature that was reached was 72. Strike two. I then tried to use the reading lights that were on the bed - neither one worked. The USB power charger that was on the night stand only worked intermittently. Strike three. When I went to use the shower the next morning, I had to leave the water running for over 5 minutes before it even started warming up. Good thing I wasn't in a real hurry. I brought up all these issues to the manager on duty the next morning when I checked out (two days ago). Her response was "oh we let housekeeping know and will have to ask maintenance to look over things." She then offered some points. Normally that would be fine. But this was a rather long list of things that were wrong with the room. She asked if that was good, and I told her no, I wanted the room comped for that night (which I never ask for). She said she didn't know if she could do that and would have to speak with someone else. She said she would call me back later that day to let me know. I still haven't heard from her and doubt that I will. I expect more as a Bonvoy platinum member.

Made a reservation months ago for a Ham Radio convention. Just learned days before the event they changed the room type from doubles to king. No warning, no notice, they just said they didn't have the room WE BOOKED MONTHS AGO ! I advise the people running the radio convention to make deals with other hotels away from thee scammers close to the convention center.

Very nice hotel! It was new and nearly vacant when I stayed. Clean hotel with a friendly/helpful staff. Definitely will stay here again during my next trip to Huntsville. This hotel is located in what looks like a formal industrial location in Huntsville, but it is nice. You are closely located to several dining options all around this hotel... all within a short Uber/Cab ride.

    • Disappointed...overall just ok

We were in town over the long holiday weekend for a wedding. My first impression of the hotel was good. Friendly front desk, room was ready early per our request and a spacious room. As we delved further into our stay it was clear the hotel was ill prepared. I had to ask numerous times for enough towels, toiletries, blankets and pillows. I was told they were out of clean blankets. Housekeeping came very late in the day if at all. The pool was dirty. Every morning we were there a large overflowing bin of dirty wet towels were next to an empty towel rack-where clean pool towels were supposed to be. Even when people asked for pool towels they never put out more than 2 or 3. It appeared no one was in charge of the pool at all over the weekend. Breakfast was blah. On the weekend they put out the waffle maker but the line was soooo long to get food. I waited 10 minutes to get yogurt and gave up. The eggs were not real eggs and the sausage meat was not good. They ran out of coffee cups, bowls, fruit etc... Overall, if they had some more staff and supplies, I wonder if it would have been a better experience. There is potential but they really need to put some effort into service.
