    • Very luxurious but isnt the best for a good night sleep

      Reviewed 06 September 2019

We expected a lot from this hotel, because of the reviews and the price. The hotel is very beautiful, with lots of amenities and nicely located in the city centre. But for the main purpose; a good night sleep and a refreshing shower, wasnt as good at all.. Sleeping The bed was reasonably sized (even for us tall Dutch people) was a bit on the hard side (like most hotels). The main problem was the light. In the bathroom theres a big window with a curtains at all. And since the bathroom door is also made of glass (frosted), it lets in all the light into the bedroom. So, I would advise to sleep with a sleeping mask. And right across from the hotel is a bar, which plays loud music all night.. so earplugs isnt a luxury here. And early in the morning a renovation crew started drilling and hammering away. It would have been decent if they would have let the guest know about this, since its very noisy and disturbing. Bedroom Small but nicely decorated. Theres a full minibar. Complimentary red wine (OK quality, nothing special), water bottle and some Greek sweets. Very modern, like a digital display for the door with lights for if you want the room te be cleaned or not to be disturbed. Small desk en small night stand with a huge alarm clock. All kind of lights, even a indirect light and a reading lamp. Bathroom Reasonably big for such a small room. Big bathroom with shower in it. Even a basket to put up your toiletries. Big faucet and lots of room to store your own stuff. But the shower isnt consistent in warmth. So at one point, the water turned so hot, I burned my skin! I did like the powerfull high quality blow dryer. A lot better then those awfull inpractical slow blow dryers you normally get in a hotel. Breakfast Very nice and complete breakfast buffet, with everything ranging from french baking goods to traditional greeks food to fresh fruit. Lots of choice! Even different types of yoghurt (also 5% fat one) and a little bit of flaxseed, nuts, goji berries etc. You can order eggs, omelettes, pancakes etc. Good quality food, although some stuff was dry (like a chocolate cake which wasnt covered). Staff is friendly but not very fast. We waited for 15 minutes to order tea. Staff Friendly and sticking to the rules. Parking They can park the car for you, but it costs you 20 euros a day and it takes a little while (5 to 10 minutes) to get your car back. Its a busy street and in front theres some roadwork so be carefull parking directly in front of the hotel (which youre allowed only to get the bags in & out). Theres oil on the road there, so our suitcases where dirty and unfortunately when my husband put out suitcase in the car, the oil stained his pants.. Location The location is fantastic! Right in the middle of the shops and restaurants. Close to the sea with lots of bars for a nice view.

    • A small gem in the city center

      Reviewed 28 August 2019

It's a small boutique hotel very much in the heart of the city, between the port and the rail station. Rooms are arguably small, but better equipped than in most 5-star hotels. Breakfast is excellent, with a touch of local dishes. They share some facilities (spa, fitness room) with the City Hotel across the street. But most of all, go there to enjoy the politeness of the staff, they'll go to any length to make tour stay pleasurable.

    • Wonderful Small Hotel

      Reviewed 16 August 2019

Arrival was easy and quick. We temporarily parked in the reserved space to drop off luggage, which was whisked away by the reception staff. Reception took our car key and offered to valet park the car for just a few Euros more than self-parking. In less than 20 minutes, we were in our room enjoying a bottle of wine provided by the hotel. Room was small but bright, comfortable and modern. Our Deluxe Double had 2 balconies with doors, on the front of hotel. The very nice staff made dinner reservations for us. The breakfast was very complete but it appeared to us that they were understaffed to handle coffee and breakfast orders as well as clearing tables. Would definitely stay here again.

    • Very nice 5* hotel

      Reviewed 15 August 2019

Very nice 5* hotel (i paid 110 euros per night) -Centrally located -Beautiful elegant bedrooms -Nice welcome (maybe a bit too promotional about their partners and rebates for shopping i personally don't care about (and dont want to hear about unless i ask for it...) -(small) balconies with street views Minor comments: -Could hear a bit too clearly people from the room next to me through the separation door. This has to be corrected. -No ironing board in the room (didn t ask for it) -Very nice breakfast but maybe a little bit on the sweet side (would have loved a traditional greek breakfast | i think it would be a nice addition to the "a la carte breakfast") Very happy with my stay. i would definitely recommend it
