We have dined at Piccolo year after year and have never been let down. Our twin 8 year girls are breadacholics and our efficient waiter promptly brought two baskets to keep them happy. Much appreciated!! The schnitzel portion was generous and delicious, crab cake excellent and the service professional. I hope that we will back on Salt Spring next year to enjoy this wonderful restaurant.

I had read the great reviews of this restaurant before our recent visit to Salt Spring Island. It is a small and nice looking restaurant. The food is fine but not worth the price. I wanted to add some flavor to almost everything we ordered. I would not go again.

Its a small restaurant, maybe book at busy times. We enjoyed our meal so much we booked for the following evening. Gorgonzola tart is to die for and the lobster risotto was popular. The chef cooks fish so well, as often its dry and disappointing, but not here . Would recommend when in Ganges.

Bread is good. Server was fine. She accidentally poured wine for me first that my husband ordered and then gave it to him to taste I easily could of tasted the wine. Food was nothing great. Veggies were flavourless all of the food was okay not great for all the reviews. Scalloped potatoes were not good. I have zero desire to eat here again. Expensive and the decor is reminiscent of the 1980s the pictures on the wall look like they are from a yard sale. I have no issues with 80s decor it just seemed kinda funny that the server was acting as if the restaurant was super grand. There are far better restaurants on Salt Spring with servers who dont have an attitude Maybe she thinks her attitude is needed? Three of us were done our food we told the server and she said she would get all the plates when we were all done. Not very pleasant sitting at the table with dirty dishes. We tried it and wont return.

I was pleased with their ability to make a crab cake gluten free. It was delicious. They brought gluten free crackers when they brought the bread.
